I have placed a map of Hochoch at top. Please flesh out a backstory. Aaggghhh, you can roll with yours, there just may be questions later. Backstories don't have to be long, just enough to give me insight into the character. If you enjoy it, go for it!
I am at GMT-6 or US Central time. Ideally, I would like a dedicated day to play on for about two to four hours. I cannot post daily, but should be able to post every two days. I realize that pbp campaigns typically die out quick. I intend for the party to reach level 14 or 15, possibly higher.
I have strung together some of my favorite modules from AD&D to make this possible.
Heavy RP may be necessary. I'm looking to entertain you as well as myself.
I will be tracking the accumulation of wealth and items here with a loot avatar.
I will start the campaign as soon as I get two or three more submissions as good as yours.
Thanks for giving this a chance.

Finishing up my backstory, but in a nutshelk: imagine if Last of the Mohicans was about an elf who could talk with bears (and other critters.)
Great movie!
Mostly what I need to know is why did Siondel come to Hochoch, and what does he do with the bear. Does it typically stay outside of villages? Any other insights into the character would be helpful, especially personality and physical traits.

Description: Siondel is a tall, thin elf, standing 6’4” tall and weighs 146lbs. He has sandy brown hair worn long and tied back in small braids, fair skin weathered from longterm exposure to the outdoors, and light green eyes. While traveling and adventuring, he commonly wears fringed buckskins and finely tanned leather armor. He rides a chestnut mare about 3 years old, and is fairly heavily armed with sword, spear, shield, and bow. A stout club of hawthorne hangs from saddle pommel as well.
He is commonly seen followed by a small black bear, possibly a cub, who listens to Siondel as if the elf was his mother. From time to time, it even seems as if he speaks to the animals in their own tongues. The bear wears a customized suit of armor itself, heavily tanned leather with steel studs.
Personality: Siondel is fairly uncommon for an elf. He really loves to travel and find new experiences, and his connection to the natural world allows him the ability to do so quite readily. He is easy going and slow to anger, having acquired patience over a long time acting as a hunter and tracker.
One of the only things that truly set him off is the deliberate damage of natural environments or waste of resources. Seeing things like animals killed solely for trophies or clear-cut forests enrages the druid. His bear friend Medved follows him pretty much anywhere. The size of a large dog, wearing armor and listening to Siondel without hesitation, many people mistake the creature for an actual dog. He sits outside and curls up whenever shopkeeps, tavern owners, or the like take offense at Medved’s admission.
Background: Siondel learned the ways of the druid in a traditional wood elf fashion. He apprenticed to an older elf for several decades, wandering the forest and defending a sacred circle of standing stones. During this time, he learned that he could not settle down in one place for so long, keenly desiring to see the world and experience all that it offers. He only recently came to Hochoch, looking to resupply and rearm himself.

Aggghhh the Unclean |

Well right now he is kind of bitter that he has gotten the bad end of the stick due to his poor grades and snubs due to his out of control bad hygiene. He was to hone his skills and hopefully make a magical item that makes him presentable. In a pinch, enough prestige that people will hold their noses and not mock him.

Ok. I have found that 4-5 PCs is the perfect number for my PbPs. I have also found that a few go missing over time, so my question is this: Should I recruit 5 or 6 players? Also, we have a fighting wizard, a druid and a rogue. What would you like to see. I need to chose a ranger, and there is an elven wizard offered up as well. PM me with your opinions if you have any on these matters.

Suppadup boys! We be the elfiest group who ever elfed.
You know what would round this uo? A drow. Or hunting drows. Or a drow hunting drows.
Anyway, glad to be part of this.

Wild elf druid, high elf ranger, high elf rogue, stinky dwarf wizard....there's a joke in there somewhere.
Technically ex-high elf. Can call me Forlorn Elf, I like the ring of it. Plus I got a trait and a racial trait with that name.

I'm in GMT+1, but usually can post from dawn till next dawn.
Mostly because I am a student with no class to attend.

I am a middle-aged gamer looking to recreate the fun and glory of our junior high campaigns in Greyhawk and specifically in the five modules that I have chosen. If you happen to recognize an adventure as we go through please keep in character, no meta-gaming.
I will stick to the rules as closely as possible and would appreciate your patience in doing so.
Spoken dialogue should be bold. Thoughts are in italics. (I like the thoughts)
Out of character conversation should be written like this, and if lengthy, moved to the discussion thread.
I will roll initiative for the party.
You should come up with a "marching order," so that I can know how PCs will be engaged.
You are responsible for attack rolls and save rolls. Please be prompt, especially during combat. We are using Pathfinder mechanic.
I find it helpful to put vital stats into avatar profile in the manner which Siondel has.
I have taken some liberty with these adventures to create a more fluid experience.
Most of you are veterans, so you know that you get out what you put in. Try your best to keep the party together at all times. Things happen though.
You will level at appropriate times and not through xp tracking.
I prefer a table game with a lengthy session on a dedicated day. I will try to post daily, but my schedule can get hectic. Yours too I'm sure. Let's be upfront when we can't post.
I intend to make it through all 5 mods. There may be an occasional home brew NPC to help with the storyline.
Anything that I need to know that you don't want to share can reach me via PM.
While I am a fan of a good backstory, especially the 10 min. formula, it is not completely necessary here.
I would appreciate insight into a character'set personality, appearance and goals.

Get to know each other. Complete your character pages and information.
When we begin. The characters will be taking supper at the Last Word Inn and Tavern. A once-glorious three-storied building, now gray and decaying.
The food is cheap, and so are the rumors.
Begin by entering. At this point, the characters will not know each other.

Jax here! I added the status stuff to show on the posts, I have it on all my aliases but somehow forgot to add it to Jax.
I modified his sheet too for clarity of searching and added a couple lines of personality and description, picture included and all.
With this I mean I'm ready to rumble!

Zirul, Follower of Arete |

So let's see if I can catch up.
I'm in the US Central Time Zone.
I'm on sporadically throughout the day, depending on work, my 5 kids, and spending time with the wife.
I've set up my profile to show the vitals.
I may add more description to myou profile later on, hopefully it's good enough to start.
And a quick background:

I have pasted an old map of Orlane in two parts as that is how it appeared in the mod . Like I said before, I prefer tabletop where we can sit down with battle maps and minifigs. Part of the "old school" description refers to the fact that we will have to use our imaginations in most battle sequences. To add maps and movable icons would consume too much time at this point. So, the party enters Orlane from the west and can work their way to the east.
