Nikolai Mikhailovich |
Nikolai takes a quick look around, and then whispers "Follow me. Kill them." He tucks his gun into the back of his pants, raises his hands over his head, and walks through the open door.
"Don't shoot! he calls out in Czech. "I surrender! I'm alone!"
Attempting to distract the baddies to give my allies the drop. I'm guessing a Smarts roll?

Sob.
Steven Trilby |
Trilby switches his pistol for his Tommmy gun, then waits at the door frame. I hope this works... so much for subtlety...
Once Nikolai is in, he yells, Vesterb Sie Nazi arschfickern!, and runs in gun blazing. First shot will go toward anyone who looks like a leader.
Shooting: 1d6 ⇒ 3 wild die: 1d6 ⇒ 1 oof.

When Nikolai enter the main room of the farm house he finds himself confronting two Germans, one a Wermacht private and one a SS officer. The private holds a GEW 98 bolt-action Mauser rifle in his hands. The officer holds a Luger pistol in one hand and a riding crop in the other. Three men in Czech civilian clothes are tied to wooden chairs. Two of the men struggle against the ropes holding them while the third is slumped forward with a pool of blood surrounding his chair. A young Czech women lies on the floor at the feet of the soldier bleeding from her mouth (the soldier had hit her with the butt of his rifle).
The German soldiers are momentarily nonplussed by Nikolai's actions giving Roy a chance to fire his rifle at the soldier who staggers back with a bullet in his leg. Trilby follows Roy's movement and rushes into the room firing wildly at the SS officer but the bullet flies wide.
The Nazi officer reacts by firing a shot at Nikolai...

Bart levels his webley at the SS officer, before squeezing the trigger.
I'd have the drop right?
Shooting: 1d6 - 2 + 4 ⇒ (5) - 2 + 4 = 71d6 - 2 + 4 ⇒ (5) - 2 + 4 = 7
Damage: 2d6 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 1 + 4 = 11
Taking advantage of the element of surprise he shifts his aim to the other soldier and fires again.

Damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 4) + 1 = 7

Bart calmly takes advantage of the situation by putting a round through the back of the SS officer blowing an exit hole out of his chest killing him instantly.
Assigning Roy's attack to the solider as Bart's attack would have happened at the end of the previous round.
The crack of Bart's rifle causes the solider to spin around leaving him defenseless to Roy's marksmanship. Bart squeezes the trigger of his trusty rifle and his shot almost literally decapitates the German.
The sudden silence in the room is broken only by the sobbing of the young woman. The Czech men look on in stunned silence.
Nikolai Mikhailovich |
Nikolai takes several deep breaths before his hands stop shaking enough for him to start untying whichever of the Czechs looks least terrified.
"We are looking for the Three Kings," he says softly. "Our mission is to stop the atrocities taking place in the castle. Whatever information you can give us will help us to free the Czech people from the Nazi invaders."
Persuasion: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Wild: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Bart winces as he witnesses the violent results of his action. He knew these were enemy troops, and he didn't hesitate to do what was necessary, but he had never attained the bloodlust that some soldiers displayed.
"I'll go check the front. I would suggest that these people make preparations to leave, at least temporarily, I doubt the germans will take kindly to two dead soldiers in their home." he says to the others, before circling around the house to ensure there are no further soldiers, and see how they arrived. They might have just secured themselves a vehicle.
