So having fun anything you would like me to change or focus on or off? Its hard to do this over pbp I'm so used to reading peoples expressions and body language and you can't over the forum.

Yup I am enjoying it. I have no complaints, it is good to get a feel for the land, and nice to be able to make allies and such.

It is a very comprehensive world you have put together.

Thanks work was busy so he is still being converted. As for the world my friends helped me build it. It was a team effort I created the frame work and they shaped it with their characters and actions. The empire your in was founded by one of jims characters. Jim was always the leader even when I played. Some else might be in charge of tactics but jim was always the face. His brother was more often than not our Arcane got to man unless he was playing Guardian in which case he was onky good for blowing things up. But they shaped this world as much as I did. Jesse was the one who got me making all my notes of which a large portion have vanished but I can fill in. I'm just haphaply you like it. I really shoukd give you the deity info dump and a few others lol

yup it is a slow game. When it wraps up I will probably start a new one, try to get fast posters in it. I am not quite sure howmuch longer we will go, but obviously finish this tower, go back to Absalom. The Drow thing still needs to be wrapped up, and I know who the final badd guy is, but I figure we are probably another level in the tower, then 3 or 4 outside the tower so probably end up around level12-15

Nice and besides we have been going for a year. Most games on here can't say that. So be proud. And whatever you run next I want a slot lol.

I has way of the wicked and the anniversary rotrl. I could mail you one...... its a big assed book though. I really want to do shackled city or reign of winter though. I missed shackled city back in the day and reign just looks awesome. WoTW would be fun too but I have read it same with RotRL. They have a dinged up shackled city hard covered I'm thinking about buying but it would have to be converted which would be a pain.

The Rotrl I have is the book not the pdf. I am willing to ship it though just promise to take good care of it. I'm gonna by myself one of the metal box deluxe ones anyways.

Yeah but bill time is comming up and I spent my fun money so it has to wait til the end of the month. But I will try ti throw about 50 or so. And okay deal no slumber. It wouldn't be so bad if my casting stat didn't turn me into a meat stack lol at the rate im going i will have more hp than miz. And for RotRl yeah slumber would be the boss for some encounters. Like the goblins and giants. I was really thinking more ice witch or thassilonian wizard going into cypher mage. Besides wait til Varin gets ice tomb next lvl. Oh yeah lol.

I think I can get a hold of the pdf through a friend. He wants the books, and if I throw him some money he will send me the pdfs to use. So he gets a discount and i get a discount.

Hey I'm gonna be a wizard I can slumber. Well deep slumber but its not unlimited use lol. And I told you I would change it if you wanted lol. I have the creeping urge to choke someone witb it at my table. I'm amazed you haven't tracked me down and choked me. Sadly its my main combat gun. I spent so many points having an intelligence and wisdom of non negatives I couldn't do dex or str or anything that might let me help in a fight.

Look at it like this if I had say a 14 dex base and a +2 belt I could hit stuff as it is with out precise shot I'm scared if hitting our guys if I shoot my bow. Being an orc is hard if you wanna be smart.

Also I am tempted to say 15 PB like the AP is written for, or maybe do the roll 4d6 7 times and drop one. Though I might give extra traits...I dunno.

However works as long as if you do rolls and someone gets a really bad set you let them reroll. The rule of thumb used to be if total modifers add up to less than +4 reroll. I know my method creates op characters but the players I had were dangerous with or without the scores. Jim killed three ogres at lvl one once. And they would use it to get skill points and things. Jims highest score once we hit 3e was always int no matter what he was playing lol.

But 15pb is fine too. I would prefer 20 and you can cap it so people spread the scores out. Another fun methid is focus and folbie.

That's what I was thinking. And if I do a witch I am planning on going winter witch. So I might have slumber but I will have direct dmg hexes for combat. Slumber is for sneaking past guards ;)

+1 to the save for every HD above yours, and I 4+ higher immune.

Not that it has been a problem in Absalom, it actually has not bothered me at all, I just have sen a lot of ROTRL dms irriatated by it

No I don't but I can register. Also that breaks down at higher lvls where everything has more hit dice than you by like three or four times. And its only good in single encounters. Also I try not to abuse it too bad plus you give mmultiple targets so its not so bad. Like I said if I do a witch it will be a winter one and slumber will be my jedi mind trick if we need ti sneak by someone lol. Honestly I'm feeling the wizard though.

You should totally make the companion a phooka...... you know you want too.... also leaning to sin wizard transmuter or perhaps a conjurer. If there were more undead would totally do a sin necro life wizard. Just gotta look at winter witch and choose.

Mini may I request a mod? There is no sin magic school aligned to divination but that's the one I would like to do could we call it a variant of greed? If not that's cool I have a few dozen other ideas

Well I was looming at the character as a greed for knowledge. So the same opposition schools as greed would work well. Plus then I can't be flinging charm spells and such.... which are headache spells anyways. My other three ideas are sin magic illusionist shadow mage, sloth wizard, or a greed wizard following the enhancement path. Two of those you really don't want me to play..... the sloth cause my answer to everything will be summon monster which aucks for everyone and the illusionist cause of the shadow magic high jinks that can be pulled lol. But the transmuter could be fun and not op plus I can go with the idea of becoming the new runelord of greed yay....

Just looked at the transmutation spells, i like it

Its a tranmutation subschool nothing bad really just would allow me to pump my spells dcs through the roof from time to time or make our fighter strong than a giant for a few rounds lol. And yes and no the runelords are evil but sin magic didn't start that way the sins are a corruption of the virtues of ancient thassilon you could be a runelord and good as long as your remai ed aligned with the virtue rather than the vice. Also runelord was just a title for the most powerful wizard of that type. Personally I would rather do the diviner and perhaps become a harrower... or cypher mage or lore master.... but yeah the transmuter and diviner would be the two most fun for the group. Illusionist can be really op and no fun cause you can use shadow spells to cast any spell you can't cast which is wrong lol. And conjurers well I don't think we want me cranking out monsters by the dozen....

I think targeting a simpler play style is best. less summoning and illusions cause it is PbP

i just dont want to deal with changing the basic rules a lot. The last person I did that with was the a$%&+!! who was the iron born in our game and we all know how well that went

Yeah I know what you mean lol. Really all it would do is ban two schools and give me an extra divination slot which would be fun but no big deal. Might do a scrollkeeper though still a diviner and hit lore master. But the transmuter looks like a blast. I will have to ponder if for a bit. And yeah that's why I was like you don't want me to do a sin magic shadow caster shdow illusionist or a conjurer bog down crap way to much. Same with enchanter its no fun thralling everything.

On other notes how did you like the diviners? And sorry but I wasn't going to just hand yiu the answer to your sidequest lol. Besides you can still ask the teal leaf opium lady for reading. ;p
If we were at a table I would have gotten out a harrow or tarot deck and done the last reading. The cards woukdnt have ment anything but props are always fun lol. Its also hard to type out everything I want to describe the words don't flow to paper (or key board) like they do from person to person. I can't watch your face and body and change things as I describe it based on your expressions it makes it way harder. Both to set the right tone and make sure I'm doing a good job.

nope this is good stuff all around. I did not realize the side quest was goig to involve some one big time. I guess i will still head to the grand archive.

Okay so diviner scrollkeeper with a choice of bonded spells or object; or a primalist transmuter?

Also for the elf part their special class thing is to get extra uses of the 1st lvl power which as a scrollkeeper I trade in. Can I use their racial favored class choice to pick up extra knowledges I get the bonus to every few lvls?

No I pretty much get to pick on knowledge every so many lvls and get bardic knowledge to it. I would like to pick on a bit more often since that's my 1st lvl power now.

Look at diligent student. I would say each lvl adds one quarter of a diligent student. Also have you seen the story feats yet?
