I also have disadvantage from my scale mail, cancelled by the advantage.
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Nathaniel gets mobbed by the onrushing crowd, and makes quite a scene as he tries to get over to the alley, likely drawing the attention of the chasing guards.

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Stealth Favored Enemy Humanoid: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Why is the 8 foot grey skinned giant kin not blending in.

Orym Rednose |

50 gold should buy quite a road block.

Orym Rednose |

Ya, is it worth death tho?
I don't follow the guards are chasing us whether we dropped money or not. I was just playfully pointing out that I rped my character's lack of economic experience/rage at economics to the tune of 50 gold. If most pesants see a few silvers a week thats a big incentive thus a big road block. Its up to you if it would influence the roll or the DC.
Orym keeps running.

Orym Rednose |

Orym moves swiftly and when the time to gather with the coast clear he says, "It is time we get back on task."

Orym Rednose |

"They still seek us we must keep moving."
stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
stealth favored enemy assuming humanoid: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Orym Rednose |

Wow its like I am hidden because I am holding you guys up as a shield.

Ambooku |

Great Maul: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 172d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 2) + 5 = 11
...and succeeds in delivering a solid blow. While the velociraptor reels from the blow, he screams animalistically in its face.

Ambooku |

Ambooku |

If the pouch contains just coins, he gives a slightly disgusted look at it and tosses it to the injured man in the mud and proceeds onward. If it is something else then he will keep it for sentimental value.
Ambooku will, if nothing stops him, drag himself with the carcass back to Wakanga's compound, take a short rest (recover some HD) then find a reasonable place to butcher the carcass and start a fire to cook it.

DM Greaek |

Ok at this point I feel it is safe to assume that seraphiel is done, so we will say he surrenders himself to the guards and allows you guys to escape without the law on your tail, free from legal consequence, the merchant included, as the executioner's run is kind of crippled for the moment, Seraphiel also giving the 50 gold to whoever threw theirs
As you walk through the streets (The man having lett you) You are approached by a female halforc with a holy symbol of torm, who greets you saying "I'm glad i found you, you all were the ones planning on making an expedition into the jungles correct?"

Nathaniel Seely |

Nathaniel looks her over, curious as to how the group would have come to anyone's attention so soon. "I doubt we are the only ones planning on a jungle expedition from what I have seen in Port Nyanzaru so far, but yes, we are going to head out and test our luck" he cautiously hedges.

Zeb Ochrona |

Zeb nods in appreciation and heaves a sigh.
That seems to be a rare, fine cause in this deadly and treacherous land. Those with such causes do not seem to last long here.
He looks back over his shoulder, missing Seraphiel.
I, for one, welcome you to travel with us.

Nathaniel Seely |

"Do you mean the Death Curse? Are you going out there because you can help them with that?" Nathaniel asks her. "We can help you get to Camp Vengeance if we head out that way, but at this point we honestly don't know which direction we should even be heading." Nathaniel looks at the rest of the group and says "Don't forget, we are here for a reason, and our time is limited. We need to find some information out before we go wandering into the jungle. What do the rest of you think?"

Orym Rednose |

Orym looks around, "Our business is pressing lass. If these others sworn to me cause allow it you are welcome to come with us but if our journey takes us elsewhere we may be pressed to follow."

Nathaniel Seely |

How do we want to approach this guys? Obviously we are supposed to be finding the cause of the Death Curse, the Soulmonger. However we have no idea where it is, and so far have found no clues leading us towards that. We also don't really have an idea how much time we have to work with. If we are trying to save Syndra how long can we mess around in the jungle possibly getting no closer to our goal? On the other hand we could always use friends and allies, so helping out Undril sounds like a good idea if we can do it. I am unsure what kind of balance we can/should strike here. Any thoughts?

Orym Rednose |

Hmm thought when we woke we were going to gather with our employer. We were to get a guide and more info. We helped a guy and now another person is asking for help.

DM Greaek |

Not immediate help, as you are in the jungle. I basically had you guys roll for "subquests", and these things could help you. Basically, you guys are approached by her, a guy offering to pay for the charter of exploration and two twins as guides, and then a priestess of savras who offered to add her help and an additional 100 GP to the expedition funds if you pass by that way with her.

Zeb Ochrona |

Given the number of different subquests, perhaps we should head to the main quest-giver's place and pursue that. We need a little combat and success under our belts to get our mojo back.
Zeb turns to his companions
I believe we should return to Syndra and begin what we can to serve her.
He turns back Undril.
You may accompany us should our path take us in a direction such that we may help you.

Nathaniel Seely |

I agree, we should talk to Syndra again first.
Nathaniel nods in agreement with Zeb. "Agreed. We need to talk to Syndra before we decide on anything else." Then addressing Undril "If you'd like to accompany us, or if you can wait and give us somewhere to contact you, we'd be happy to help you get to Camp Vengeance. It may be a bit before we head there though, since we have yet to figure out which direction we need to go."

Orym Rednose |

Orym nods to Zeb in agreement.
