Occupied spaces

Rules Questions

Greetings:
A burrowing creature tries to emerge on a square occupied by an invisible character. Or a flying creature tries to land ond said square. Or said invisible character lets a creature go through his square, but the moving creature chooses to end her movement in the invisible creature square.

Can't the burrower emerge or the flier land? Do they, but in another square? And the walking one, goes back to the last square they could occupy? Do they then automatically know there's something invisible in the square they tried to move to?

And one last case: a character A is charging against a character B, but an invisible character C is in the middle and he doesn't let the charger go through his square unimpeded. Does A charge against C?

It depends on the size of the creatures in question. If the size difference between the two creatures is dramatic (3 size categories or more). Then the two creatures may occupy the same space and/or pass through another creature's space without hindrance. However, entering another creature's square will provoke an attack of opportunity from the creature.

If both creatures are the same size and the non-invisible creature decides to attempt to move past the invisible creature (such as the case in the charge attempt) then they could attempt an acrobatics check to do so. The DC for this is 5+CMD of the enemy. If they fail the check then their movement would stop in the square just before the invisible creature.

Now, if both creatures are the same size and a creature attempts to unwittingly stop in the same square where an invisible creature is.

Accidentally Ending Movement in an Illegal Space wrote:
Sometimes a character ends its movement while moving through a space where it’s not allowed to stop. When that happens, put your miniature in the last legal position you occupied, or the closest legal position, if there’s a legal position that’s closer.

Regardless if they tried to stop in or move through the square occupied by the invisible creature, they would know that "something" was in the way. But they otherwise wouldn't know any additional details about the invisible creature's location.

This is all assuming the two creatures in question aren't allies.

i see 3 options : (disregarding the rule about creatures of sizes smaller then the other one as these can be in the same space unless one fill up the whole space like a gel cube).

1: the new arrival tries to push the original from the spot and take it's space - see bull-rush and or reposition rules

2: after finding out there is limited space in the ..space.. he tries to move through it - see overrun maneuver and\or acrobatics skill.

3: he decide to stay right there with it and the other creature allow it (if he doesn't then you have to ether push him out or go through him, can't take the same space if not small or big enough). see squeezing, in some cases even if they want to depend on size some can't squeeze together and the last one stops it's movement outside the space.(pretty much like trying to walk into a wall)

also note that with some maneuvers the original occupant can decide not to resist it and allow for auto success.(like in overrun).

Assuming similar size you can't move through or end movement in an occupied square, so you could not land in or emerge into or choose to stop on the invisible creature's square. They would know there was something there and could avoid it, use a manoeuvre etc. if they had the movement or actions to spare. If not they would remain in the last legal square they occupied.

In the case of the Charge, it is a full round action and would cease when A encountered the obstacle - ending the movement and the round for A.
