Action / Fate / Whatever Points

Prerelease Discussion

Since it is pretty much an inevitability that some form of "action points" subsystem will quickly appear for PF2E like they do for every other system, can we please get this incorporated into the core rulebook? This way the game can be balanced around them from the outset, feats and other options can refer to them and build on them over time as the game goes forward, and we can actually playtest them to make sure they work well.

Some suggestions for base effects:

* Get an extra action on your turn, 1/round. With the new action economy, this works way better; it just means you go from 3 actions to 4, instead of getting something as significant as an extra standard action.

* Get an extra reaction, 1/round.

* Automatically stabilize.

* Use a magic item when out of Resonance.

* Get another use out of a feat or class ability that you have but for which you are out of daily uses.

* Use a feat or spell for (1 round? 1 minute? 1 "scene"?) that you do not have but for which you meet the prerequisites.

* Add +2d4 to an attack roll, saving throw, or skill or ability check. If you use this before rolling the check instead of after, instead roll 3d4 and add the two highest dice.

They have already stated that it will be core, so...

Good News, Everyone!

Must have missed that announcement. Awesome <3

It wasn't officially announced, but people that played at Garycon have mentioned it.
