Making a cannibalistic witch - what patron is most suitable?

Advice

As the title says, I am making a NPC witch (likely a Gingerbread Witch) that will be cannibalistic. What patron would be both thematically and functionally fitting?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I think the Peace patron would be the most hilarious. "I only ate your friend's face, this is no big deal, can we talk about this like reasonable people? It wasn't even a good face."

Honestly, I get slightly enraged every time I think about witch patrons. Thematically, "mysterious force that is the source of all your powers". Mechanically, "you save a few gp every other level". It just seems like they had a cool idea and then totally gave up on it.

Scarab Sages

It's not the source of your powers, I don't think; it teaches you your powers. That's what would make it arcane rather than divine.

Anyways, some possible fitting choices for a Grimmian cannibal Witch:

Animal
Death
Decadence
Enchantment
Nightmares
Plague
Strength
Transformation

Someone caught the idea I was going for. Certain patrons are being thematically overlooked due to an idea I hatched to "flesh out" the patrons. Ideally, I'm trying for as little overlap in that thematic as possible, though the "powers" would probably not care themselves.
