So in the SFS Guild Guide it states at character creation you get 1 [Faction Name] Champion Boon. Now do you get this for free or do you still have to spend the 2 fame for it. Because it states that generally you slot the boons after the mission briefing. If it is your first scenario you have no fame?
I am assuming that the faction you choose at first level is free then when you want to choose another faction you than pay the cost.

The first boon is free. The cost is in case you want to buy more boons after the first. You are correct.
