Sipping Jacket can't use Alchemy Extracts?>

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

I realize the sipping jacket can only use potions that have a round by round duration, but it also states it must be a potion.

Does this make alchemy extracts illegal use in organized play? Even if the extract being used could be a potion, but since the alchemist created it, it's an extract?

Has their been a ruling on this?

Shadow Lodge

I think it's fair to say the ruling is exactly as you stated.

Extracts are not potions. They are in fact, more like spells than potions (since there's no move action to recover, and only a standard action to use). Since the Sipping Jacket explicitly states potion, an extract cannot be used in it.

Extracts aren't potions. It must be a potion. The rules makes it illegal, and PFS hasn't made an exception making it legal.

Silver Crusade

MisterSlanky is correct.

Scarab Sages

Unfortunate.
That swift action targeted bomb admixture was nice. Oh well.
