Titan Mauler archetype

Rules Questions

Looking for more of a solid answer hopefully from either a very experienced society player or leader or even from a piano employee. Anyways down to my question I've looked at this archetype for a little while and found the Thunder and fang feat as well with doth of these on 1 character would I be able to to wield an Earthbreaker of a size larger than my own in 1 hand? I've had a very mixed results with asking around from my friends and other forums.

Well, Thunder and Fang allows a character to 'use an earthbreaker as though it were a one-handed weapon'. This would mean that, for all intents and purposes, it is a one-handed weapon, but doesn't mention anything about the starting size of the weapon or the end size of the weapon when wielded in one hand.

Thus, you can wield a Large Earthbreaker in one hand, since Massive Weapons has allowed you to wield a Large two-handed weapon at all, and the only thing Thunder and Fang cares about is changing the handedness of a two-handed earthbreaker to one-handedness.

Complex, and I don't even think I have described it properly myself, but it's there. Have fun with never hitting anything though.

Yah doing math for trying to dual wield those is a nightmare on hit chance but if I combo it with the other weapon from Thunder and Fang at a regular size it won't be so bad

PFS thunder and fang only works for it and the klar.

And no, they don't work together. You can wield oversized aka Large THW. But the ability to wield in one hand has to be appropriately sized aka medium THW.

I had a look. Thunder and Fang doesn't say anything about size. Just that you change which hands you use. As far as RAW goes, it is a pretty strange corner case, but it seems to work that way. Or. More to the point, I can't find anything that suggests it doesn't work.

the barb archetype, titan mauler has 2 abilities.
1 is to have an appropriate sized THW wielded in one hand.
The other is to let you use an oversized THW with big penalty.

an oversized weapon isn't appropriately sized for you. A huge weapon isn't a THW meant for a large creature.

these two clauses stops all stacking.

titan mauler is kinda terible now(its better then it was before the latest eratta but is still far far worse then when it was made)-4 to hit to just use a large two handed weapon is a lot especially compared to just taking a 1 level dip into titan fighter getting the same benifit but with only a -2 to hit and then going normal barbarian the rest of the way

It doesn't touch Jotungrip at all, though. It's Thunder and Fang that is granting you the ability to wield a two-handed weapon as though it was one-handed, which has no size restriction, which is allowing you to use it in two-weapon fighting along with klar. And Massive Weapons grants you the ability to wield Large two-handed weapons at all. These effects can stack, but are entirely independent of Jotungrip.

Now, you can't wield it in one-hand as far as I can tell. But for all intent and purposes, it might as well be for the sake of two-weapon fighting with a klar. Because of this, it still stacks with Massive Weapon, which doesn't alter the handedness of the Large weapon, and is thus a Large earthbreaker is still a candidate for Thunder and Klar.

A dip into barbarian I found was a really good move with my titan fighter 2/barbarian 2. She was using a large ripsaw glaive, which was great with increased damage dice and bonus damage. And who wouldn't be scared of a dwarf orc with a buzz saw on a stick 3 times her own size?

if you use thunder and fang to make it counts as a one handed weapon then it no longer is counting as a THW for massive weapons.

it was that way with the post 1st erata but pre last erata exept even in that erata you could only use like a large longsword and not a large greatsword
