I've just gone 'rescue party' and picked up some MIA GM tables.
Good to know I have 9 days to deliver them :p
I wasn't signed up to run anything this gameday as I have been away a lot, looks like it ended up with me running stuff anyhow!
Be sure to ask for the GM boon. You've earned it.

Agreed, and if by chance you don't qualify for whatever reason, you can have mine.
Thanks, Shifty! And thanks to all GMs who've stepped in for another when asked.

We have a table or two that is still lacking, Wei Ji.
(I think we have most of them covered at this point though.)
If anyone is willing to wrap up the last couple of tables that dropped GMs, please email me and I'll point you to them.
:)

Chances of my table finishing on time are basically nil. (I'm the GM that TOZ mentioned.) I'll keep going, and we'll probably be done in 3 or 4 weeks, but there's no way we'll be done this week.
What are the implications of this wrt this being a Gameday game? What should I do?
(Edit: and, yes, it's all my fault that we've gone this slowly. :( )

Every game session that has been reported to us has been reported to Paizo now. (Let me know if you see any issues with a session in your history.)
All GM and Player boons have been sent as well.
If you are missing a boon at this point, check SPAM and if it is not there email me and let me know what game the boon was won at and we'll follow up.
As far as late running games go - I will contact GMs tomorrow to give direction on how to handle things.
Thanks!

Thanks Jesse, please put me on that list to contact. I took over Bluedove's Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts
I have just finished the first encounter, there is no way we will meet the deadline.

In light of the formalization of pregen credit assignment and condition resolution in the latest guide, what is the policy for pregen credit for PbP? Can credit for a pregen (from say Serpent's Ire) be granted to a lower level PC that is playing in another game currently?
I'm thinking that since the possibility of character permadeath in the early level scenario exists, the answer is no.
DM Beckett |
This is a fairly common issue with PbP Game Days. There are just too many variables outside of anyone's control sometimes. What I've done in the past is "officially" call it at the deadline, report the game, and essentially tell the players that I've reported the game, and thus nothing can change. If they had not achieved full PP at that point, it's too late. Or found all of the GP for the scenario. Afterwards, depending on how much they have left to go, (and that they made it far enough to qualify as a success), I will either summarize the remainder of the scenario or allow them to finish afterwards, but under the understanding that the Chronicle and Reporting are already set and can and will not be changed.
The way I see it, this is no different than playing at a FLGS and having to call a game for the night when the store closes, but everyone sticking around for an extra few minutes outside to finish up or hear the conclusion.

Is it too late to get on the distro list for the email about late-running games? I have a couple that are on the final encounter but probably won't finish by tonight. Does it matter whether we finish and report on time? Or is that just for the specials? Can I just play out the rest of the scenario and report it like a normal table?

I am also running a bit behind. I should be finished too, I am in the final boss fight now, and she is on the ropes...
I am running to judge a soul part 2
We probably would be finished if the zen archer didn't keep rolling low single digit numbers on all his attacks and I didn't keep blowing the miss chance rolls.
Believe me, I let out an audible groan at my computer when with 3 days until the end of the gameday, the BBEG cast obscuring mist.
GM Hmm |
I think that all three (yes, three -- we uncovered another one) of the orphans may have been just adopted in Flaxseed. I am starting to think that I need to run through GM Baerlie's campaigns and see if there are any stray lambs out there. She's a great GM, but real life can hit us all from time to time. I'd like to see all her lambs adopted at this point.
Hmm
GM Hmm |
Beckett. I just found another Voice in the Void being run by Baerlie. She had two of them going. Do you want to take that one?
I'm now going though her list of campaigns.

DM Beckett wrote:I've PM'd her and emailed direct (I didn't Facebook as well) over a week ago but no response back. At this stage I am not anticipating a reply.I don't mind either way.
However, after looking into GM B's last message, has anyone actually spoken with him or her about this?
Same here. My original concern was not wanting to step in and "fix" another GM or something when it wasn't needed or asked for. Having seen the DM's last post, it left me questioning, especially as it hadn't really been that long considering RL issues, and I know I might be a little perturbed if others just stepped in if I'd already worked something out.

Sure, here you go.I have one of those later games that I took over, but do not have the reporting link. Is there anyway someone could send it to me?
Much thanks!
