Evil kung fu master advice

Advice

Greetings!

Need help with the creation of the character.
My friend is going to be a DM, and he needs help in the creation of BBEG Need an evil kung fu master, able to give battle to the party of 4 characters 7 level.

Is it possible to create this?

I would be grateful for any help.

Go Brawler. Take advantage of Martial Flexibility.

Party has ranged character? Like an OP archer or gunslinger? Usually weak CMD, disarm them and maybe smack them for additional humbling experience. Also Deflect Arrows work great too.

Trip them if given the chance.

Pummeling Charge as an opening move.

Dedicated Adversary feat to really lay the hurt.

But the most important thing? Have underlings. 4 on 1 action economy is severe disadvantage for the NPC.

Agreed that an evil Kung-fu master should be accompanied by his most accomplished evil Kung-fu students.

party:

ranger straight
rogue (Phantom Thief)
cleric (Abadar)
occultist

Races? If human, please list ethnicity if you know if it.

Humans (rogue - dual talent). Cleric - Half-Elf. More details are not yet know.

I have had good luck tormenting my players with various versions of Master Chen, a Trip based Flowing Monk with Snake Style.

Hungry ghost monk seems likes a fantastic evil kung fu master. I mean... they are basically fantasy drug addicts depending on how you play them.

They are always jonesing for that next ki fix. They always want to get brutal hits or to kill to get ki. That mechanically enforces the idea that you are a violent person that hurts others for your own gain.

That can be taken into the character's actions. He would much rather have someone with butterfly sting around to make enemies vulnerable to his brutal hits. And he loves getting coup de graces rather than following the more logical idea of going after other, standing targets. A nice villainous flaw.

Mechanically, it is nice since it can rather safely burst through all its ki in a fight and just say "I'll suck it from my enemies afterwards". Combine with Qinggong monk to have a variety of ki powers- scorching ray is a fantastic showy one. (note- this gets more impressive with level as he gets more ki powers; if you must use this master now, then have his prized student or brother come back later for revenge and a much nicer set of powers).

In terms of story, it means he can spend all his ki, find the fight isn't going his way, run, and then come back at full tank because he found a group of goblins or travelers. Which also works into his villainous flaw- he would much rather gorge on ki than do the logical thing of staying low profile while running from your party. Which makes him easier to track. So it is easy to catch him in the middle of a fight with others, who you can then join up with to wipe him out.

I have an idea for a Goblin build that would be a swell BBEG Kung Fu Master.

Bonsai the Goblin has Roll with it, Tangle Feat, and Panther and Snake style Feats. He runs all around and through the party, using his Acrobatics Check to Tie all their shoelaces together to make them all fall down using Tangle Feet.

If he fails his check, he provokes attacks of opportunity, but

if the party takes their AoO's, Bonsai gets Free Action Attacks from Panther Style and Panther Claw.

If the AoO's miss, Bonsai also gets AoO's of his own from Snake Fang.

If the AoO's Hit, Bonsai can save vs. Damage, using Roll with it, skittering off in the direction he chooses, Tangling Feat, gaining more bonus attacks, bouncing around the battlefield like a little green wrecking ball!

For BBEG, you can add levels of warrior for lots of BAB and HP for very little CR.
