Battle Scout Favored Enemy Bonus

Rules Questions

Does the Battle Scout Ranger archetype gain increases to his first favored enemy bonus at levels 5, 10 and 15?

yes

Hmm. Are you sure?

Quote:
At 5th level and every five levels thereafter (10th, 15th, and 20th level), the ranger may select an additional favored enemy. In addition, at each such interval, the bonus against any one favored enemy (including the one just selected, if so desired) increases by +2.

The two benefits seem pretty tightly intertwined.

it's the in addition. You're not gaining any additional enemies but nothing says to stop the increasing. This is similar to fighter weapons. If you trade out WT 2 and 3 your WT 1 still increases at 9 and 13, you just don't gain the additional group.

Fair enough, thank you for the prompt answer. :)
