Dual Gate - A combination rather than a piecemeal

Would it be so broken if dual gate was a combination of two elements instead of using each element individually?

For example.. Instead of, "I gather fire to use fire. I gather earth to use earth" it is, "I spend one action to gather lava. All my impulses gain both the earth and fire traits and deal bludgeoning and fire damage." Provide fusion right from the start and allow all our impulses to be fusion based. But the fusion wouldn't necessarily do more damage. It would just combine two elements.

Earth + fire = Magma (Fire and bludgeoning)
Earth + Air = Sand (Bludgeoning and Slashing)
Earth + Water = Mud (Bludgeoning)

Fire + Air = Plasma (Fire and slashing)
Fire + Water = Steam (Fire and bludgeoning)

Air + Water = Storm (Bludgeoning and Slashing)

Not sure what metal and wood combinations would be though..

But right off from the start I could play a magma kineticist or sand kineticist or mud kineticist etc by doing dual. This would create more distinction for dual kineticists and they could even get unique hybrid only impulses as well.

How this will divide the damage between types? By half? Or you can choose the damage type?

About damage dice how this will work?

These fusion damage type isn't already the same from pure elements? What the main advantage?

The Fusion Blast isn't already doing this?

It isn't better to just level down the Fusion Blast? (The Powe Blast is an unbalanced Feat that consumes 2 actions, increase the MAP by 2, restricted to dual gate, and requires level 10 just to increase the damage dice size by 1 or 2 is basically a nerfed power attack. There's no reason to be a lvl 10 feat)

No need to do it by half in pf2e. They just deal both types. If a creature resists 1 and is weakened by the other, it calculates the difference.

If they are weak to both types, unlikely, it triggers the highest weakness.

Plus this effects all my impulses, not just elemental blasts.

While I think this idea could work you do need to determine how the Elemental Blasts would work, which traits, range and damage die would they use? Would you just be doing one elemental blast or the other but just with the shared damage type?

Is Sand going to be 120 ft range, with agile, propulsive, earth and air?

IMO, I'd just make new weapon types to accommodate them. It doesn't take up too much space. It would just mean there would be 21 elemental blasts possible.

I don't know, just feels too much to take in account.
