Whelp. Picked up a shift tonight, setting myself up for a sixteen-hour run. It's all about the Benjamins baby ...

Plus this shift is included in the paycheck I will be receiving as I get ready for my trip to NYC.

As an aside, is anyone interested in hooking up Sunday? PM me, hit me up here, if you are not FHDM you can get me on FB. Or on Whedonbook . Or the Good Eats message boards ;)

you are going to be in NY next Sunday?

11/6-8. Sunday-Tuesday

Sadly, I am indeed unavailable on Sunday.
Awww :(
I know. People are throwing us a wedding shower, though. I should probably attend.
I knew that say sounded familiar!

Are you going FHDM? I'm going to have to figure out a solo itinerary methinks. Ah well. CH, do you have that poutine restaurant address?

It would be a stampede. There's like 50 of the suckers. Big hulking brutes, and you can't open them because they are keeping their insides a balmy -80C.

OS: O project just passed half of its intended (maximum) word count. Two more weeks to finish.

Another day in the books, another overnight shift in the offing.

Seems awful quiet 'round these parts. Ah well, more time to finish my soon-to-be-due homework.

Plus I owe Shiny a story.

And I need to update my own blog

And do some extra credit.

And parse my upcoming checks to put out the worst of the dumpster fires of my finances.

Oh and find time to sleep after so I can drive some kids to some sportsball thing this afternoon.

I got hooked on this old radio program while working Sunday nights at a convenience store with a super-old guy. These old radio stories are done pretty well. They almost remind me of playing RPGs. Much more imaginative than visual media.

Thanks Sharoth! Keep the good fight up yourself!

~scratches my head with a bewildered look~ Now WTF did I do wrong THIS time? My timesheet says I have accounted for slightly over 7 hours, but it should only be showing slightly over 4 hours. WHAT did I do wrong?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

~grumbles~ I think I have an idea of what happened. Maybe. Possibly. Sort of. IDK!!! I really do not like it when someone messes with my workload. If it is loaded to me, then leave it alone!!!

~sighs~ A quick bite to eat and some math to realize that I need to ignore 229 minutes on my timesheet. So annoying.

Ugh. I hate timesheet mishaps. My check tomorrow better have the overtime they stiffed me on last check..

Woke up much too early (the alarm was set to 1 pm, I went to bed after 4 am, but I couldn't sleep for a long time, around 6 am I switched the alarm to later hour). Now it's 12 am. Yawn.

6 AM here. Another hour and I'll be done until the after noon

Well, Gary missed out on his medication, causing some vivid hallucinations involving rhino on grizzly action. Meanwhile, Sarah's attempt to clean out the fish tank was stymied by the recent replacement of Goldie the Goldfish with Patrick the Piranha. And, across town, mysterious radio signals were causing Patrick and Max to question the truth about......No, wait! That's my soap opera!

I like the radio dramas.
I still have my cassette collections of the Star Wars Radio Dramas. (Episodes IV, V & VI, Written by Brian Daley)

Sorry to all for my slow posting my own self.

Been busy, barely keeping up with PbP's, but not my usual novel-length posts. AND I still need to get back to updating the Wizard's Sigil-game journal.

SOmetimes I wish I didn't have QUITE so much job security, especially when I don't get paid nearly enough. :P

Ah well, it could be worse,, it could still be Monday! ;P

Ah, old internet handles... Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb.

An added dimension was added when DA:I came out-- "Shiny" is one of the possible nicknames that Sera the archer will give to Lady Adaar if they strike up a romance.

More trying to distance myself from the times when I was just a kid posting on the forums, as opposed to now when I'm trying to be more professional.

If you think I say a lot of dumb s@&# now, you should have seen me when I was 19. Wait, no, forget I said that.

It's hard to be taken seriously as a professional when the name people know you by is the name of your old GURPS character who was created specifically to derail your friend's superheroes game.

Yeah I'm kind of glad I didn't stick with my first alias I posted under

^My dog's nickname

I am Drejk since I was seventeen... It get really stuck a few years later, though I changed to the current spelling only a few years ago. Before that it was simply Drake but too many people after the late nineties started to use it as nickname...

Silver Crusade

I've been Rysky ever since they let me play a Sorcerer back in 3.5

Liberty's Edge

I know where I got lucky7, but before that I used a PFS character. Ugh, I was a loser back then.

You'll yell!
You'll squeal!
You'll make a great meal!

Yes, I have actually sung that song.

No, I do not remember who created it. It might even have been me in one of my younger drunken stupors.

Did the Mysterious 'Planet Nine' Tilt the Solar System?

Yeah, I made the decision when I began to comment on non-RPG matters that it was more honest to use my actual name, and not hide behind an alias. Of course, commenting on non-RPG matters was a horrible mistake, but, live and learn.

I think we are in for some real surprises when we finally get to exploring the Oort Cloud. It's amazing to think the 'solar system' is close to two light years in radius when you take into account the influence of the sun.

Oh, I completely agree. Added to the fact that there is likely to be several planets and gas giants wandering around the outside the solar system that are withing a few light years of us. ~thinks~ Oh! Right! Rogue Plants! ~rereads~ Is that the name of the next Star Wars movie?

Yeah. I had a thought once about making a post-apocalyptic campaign based on a world where a rogue planet came hurtling through the solar system, borking up stuff and causing a lot of peturbances that would destroy civilization without all that messy radioactive junk.

Oh yes! Expedition to Tharkad-Kul! I was kind of sad that that one cratered. But it was basically a test bed for Pathfinder rules, and there wasn't supposed to be much in the way of a campaign, just a dungeon crawl.

Nope. Nibiru is not coming. Nibiru owes me 50 GP and Nibiru is a cheapskate. I doubt Nibiru will ever get close enough to pay me back.

I figured that I should post a bit of good news after all the whining that I posted earlier.

First - My baby mama kitty cat Jezebel was given a clean bill of health from the vet. She still needs some teeth removed, but that seems to be it.

Second - The City of Savannah will be removing two or three of the four trees that need to be removed. It is going to be a royal pain to get them removed. The tree guy said something about needing a crane to get them cut up and out of there. But the worst of them will be removed. Now, I just need to figure out how to get the money for removing the other trees before we have some more bad weather.

Tried to find Babylon 5 on Netflix and Hulu. No dice. Switching to Farscape instead.
