Can you regain abilities replaced by Archetypes?

Rules Questions

Hey, I'm wondering if you can acquire abilities or features replaced by Archetypes?

For example:

Menacing Swordplay gets replaced by the Mouser - Swashbuckler archetype.

Any ideas?

Nope. Otherwise you could end up with two types of casting or something. The only way is to find an item or spell that grants the feature (like a Ring of Evasion).

Liberty's Edge

No, you can't get them back, unless you take a different calls with an archetype that give them.

One exception would be the Mutagen class ability for Alchemists. Some Alchemist archetypes that lose the Mutagen feature are allowed to get it back by taking the Mutagen Diacovery.

Or amateur something.. but in this case a 3rd level deed is impossible unless I have another class with the same deed? (doesnt exist).

Scarab Sages

You would need to multiclass three levels with Kata Master monk to regain menacing swordplay on a mouser.

You mean like a (perfectly rules legal) multi-class wizard/sorcerer/cleric would have?
