PFS theorycrafting: "Paladin" of Asmodious

Advice

Scarab Sages

Was stuck in an airport for a few hours and I decided to start theorycrafting a new Pathfinder Society character, because I am addicted and really need to stop.

On thing that caught my attion was that new trait that allows Asmodious to be considered LN (and yes, I KNOW it isn't PFS legal) but I thought about it, and it led me down the rabbit hole.

My idea for a 'Paladin' of Asmodious is a LN Cleric 1 (Asmodian Advocate)/Cavalier (Constable)X (Order of the Star-Asmodious). This nets me a 'smite evil' like ability in the challenge class feature, some spellcasting, and because of the order of the star, a little bit of channeling which goes up slowly.

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to channel positive Energy with him. I know that normally that doesn't work (Asmodious is an evil guy, and so his clerics channel negative) but I was wondering if there was a PFS legal trait or feat or something that could help me out.

Also, thoughts? Ideas for improvement? Feat selection? I'm pretty sure he's going to be human (Chellaxian)

It's Asmodeus. If you're going to invoke the Prince of Darkness' name, at least spell it right!

Anyway, no there's not a way to channel positive energy as a Cleric of Asmodeus, although a Life Oracle would do it.

Sorry, like I said, stuck at an airport while my flight's been delayed for over two hours. And my smartphone doesn't spellcheck for him.

Can there be a life oracle of Azzy? Hmm, maybe I could do that and go daring champion instead. . .

EDIT: Just checked, order of the star ONLY works with the channel energy abilities of Paladins and Clerics, so life oracle is out.

There was a new Cleric archetype in Agents of Evil that lets neutral Clerics channel positive energy with an evil deity, although I haven't seen the specifics so I don't know if it works with only a dip.

However, Asmodean Advocate is very front-loaded for a Cleric, and gets a pseudo-Versatile Performance before Bards do.

No legal way around the healing, but I would recommend using the Variant Channeling in Ultimate Magic. Asmo has the Fire domain, and the Fire variant can get pretty nasty. Just take Selective Channeling and go out and melt face!

Conversion Channel is an option but it only works 1/day and only heals PC's that worship the same diety but it's an option.

I think you could just go Insinuator Antipaladin focused on Asmodean values.

I'm curious why you wouldn't just build a Hellknight? It's basically what they are designed for.

==Aelryinth

It's for PFS, and Antipaladin is certainly not legal.

I thought about the hellknight, but making 'just' a hellknight seemed too easy. Plus I really wanted a way to make use of that order of the Star ability, as I haven't ever seen anyone really use it before.

Refined my build options:
Option 1:

Str: 16, Dex:11, Con:14, Int:12 Wis:14, Chr:12

Level 1: Cleric (Asmodeus Advocate) Alternate Racial trait Focused Study (Profession-Barrister) Feat: ?????
Level 2 on: Cavalier (constable)

Rely on full plate and a big weapon (I'm thinking Earthbreaker, stylized as an 'upsized' mace-Maces being Asmodeus's favored weapon). Perhaps get boots of striding and springing to boost my move speed.
Feats: Focus on teamwork feats like Escape route that I can share with my teammates through my Squad Commander ability.

Pros: Seems solid. Basically a tactician Paladin. The Barrister ability of the Asmodeus Advocate to replace diplomacy synergieses really well with the Constable's information gathering ability.
Cons: Can't channel positive. Slow in heavy armor.

I couldn't find said archetype, but if it is true, and is PFS legal then:

Str: 8, Dex: 18, Con:14, Int:10, Wis:12, Chr:14
Level 1: Cavalier (Daring Champion) (Weapon Focus-Gandasa), Slashing Grace (Gandasa)
Level 2: Cleric (of hypothetical archetype)
Level 3+ Cavalier (daring Champion)

Pros: Good AC while keeping up move speed, Daring champion is strong, can channel to heal.
Con: Strength score makes carry weight tight, Not as good at talking/bluffing as idea one.
