What's a kineticist to do without supernatural abilities?

For those too lazy to read past the first line: What exactly does it mean for a kineticist to lose all of his supernatural abilities? How should it be adjudicated?

I have a kineticist who uses a wand of cloud shape to turn into a colossal cloud while spying on people, possibly even launching discreet assaults upon enemies. My original thought was to make use of Extreme Range infusion and Air's Reach utility wild talent to "light people up" from afar.

However, cloud shape is based off of gaseous form, which explicitly states that you lose all of your supernatural abilities.

Well. Darn! What does that leave me with?

Burn
Kinetic Blast
Elemental Overflow
Infusion Specialization
Some utility wild talents

All of the following are Supernatural Abilities, and thus cannot be used in this shape (even though certain abilities under them, are considered spell-like abilities):

Elemental Focus*
Gather Power
Infusions
Elemental Defense
Metakinesis
Internal Buffer
Expanded Element*
Supercharge
Composite Specialization
Metakinetic Master
Omnikinesis

Now, that leads me to believe that I'm stuck with 30-foot ranged kinetic blasts (sadly, Air's Reach is also a supernatural ability). A giant storm cloud chasing people around and striking them with lightning is hardly a discreet weather phenomena. Shoot!

However, I'm especially curious about the Elemental Focus and Expanded Element. Does losing those essentially mean I lose all of my other class abilities as well while in gaseous form and can't even do the above short ranged strikes?

I guess what I'm ultimately asking is: What exactly does it mean for a kineticist to lose all of his supernatural abilities? How should it be adjudicated?

Anyone?

Liberty's Edge

Not sure about your question but I think you may lose kinetic blast as well because you don't have a body part to point in order to direct the blast.

Gah! I didn't even think of that! :~{

I don't know if it makes any difference, but aren't their abilities Spell-like rather than Supernatural? I know Kinetic Blast is, not certain of the others...

Yes, several of their abilities are spell-like, which generally works just fine in gaseous form (which allows spellcasting provided it is a mental action).

Yeah, blast is spell like, and quite a few of the wild talents, but infusions and gather power appear to be supernatural. In fact, it would appear that everything from the main class is supernatural, except for the burn stuff (which is extraordinary) and the blast itself.

Overall, it looks like you lose pretty much everything except for the ability to do a barebones blast with some extra damage from overflow.

There may be some of the utility talents that still work though (typically the ones which are spells, such as the one we are arguing about; those are probably spell like)
