Skald - Inspired Rage count as "raging"?

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

So, in my goal to play everyone of the new classes in the ACG, I have been working on a Skald (Belkzen War Drummer) build. It seems like an odd question but does Inspired Rage count as be "in rage" for yourself and your ally's? I have searched the forums some and was able to piece some posts together to get an idea but I did not find anything definitive.

My thought is that Inspired Rage does count as rage. So at level 3, a Skald (Belkzen War Drummer) 2/Bloodrager 1 could have the tumor familiar and amplified rage feats. When using inspired rage, you and your familiar would both be "in rage" and a familiar with the valet archetype would also have all teamwork feats (i.e. Amplified Rage). Therefore, due to amplified rage, I would be +6 to str and con if I am not mistaken.

I see where the confusion might arise: it never explicitly says that a character under inspired rage qualifies for things that a normal rage would give (unlike the playtest). However, it does call out corner cases (e.g. once per rage/day powers have the same limitation) -- it never calls out a particular difference for feats/abilities.

Furthermore, it at least implies that they count as 'rage', under the description of inspired rage:

"However, inspired rage does not allow the ally to activate abilities dependent on other rage class abilities, such as rage powers, blood casting, or bloodrager bloodlines; the ally must activate her own rage class ability in order to use these features."

"Other rage class features" seems to indicate that that inspired rage is a rage class feature.

Seems fine to me.

I was thinking this combo as well. It's pretty nice.

skalds vigor for the win with this.

Fast healing 6 by level 5 is pretty cool.

Deadkitten,
That was the eventual thought process i had.

Actually, for you it'd be +8. Since you'd be bloodraging while using raging song. I think.

Also, look into the courageous weapon property. Possibly up to an extra +3 with all morale stuff from rage -- and other sources of morale -- I'd go with furious for the extra enhancement bonus
