history and lore around contract of creation

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

My players who are new to pathfinder and myself to the lore asked a interesting question as we are playing wrath of the righteous. A quote from iomadea says that she is bound not to interfere in matters of mortals.

Wondering if anyone knows of the lore around why gods can't intervene directly with affairs of mortals. I've bee researching the pathfinder lore and I'm wondering if it has to do with the contract of creation?

Any lore buffs out there that can give me information

It's more about that a major direct intervention of a deity would quickly escalate into a chain reaction of mutually assured destruction. And every major god and goddess, Rovagug excepted, pretty much doesn't want that to happen.
