Additional Mythic Support?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Silver Crusade

Does anyone know if there are plans for additional Mythic support? With them releasing the ACG soon and the relative ease at which many people completed Wrath of the Righteous...I was just wondering.

Maybe release an Advanced Mythic Guide or Complete Mythic or a straight Mythic Bestiary?

Yes I am aware that there is a 3rd party doing additional Mythic stuff which is cool but the circles I play in (even outside of PFS) only allow Paizo sources of materials in our Pathfinder games.

I'd like to see some. My dream is to see a kaiju AP, which just seems to cry out for Mythic. If the ease of mythic actually does turn out to be legit, it might not be too crazy to adjust the Cr's a bit, give things additional HP and such.

I'm not sure about kaiju necessarily, but at PaizoCon, they announced one of their next APs would be called Giantslayer. Or something to that effect.

Mythic just came out last year. From the sounds of things, there were as many people decrying it as lauding it. Paizo is unlikely to commit to more significant Mythic-focused content until they have had the chance to determine if it was a net positive or negative.
If they do another Mythic AP, it's not likely for another year or so, given they really start planing these approximately a year in advance.

Mythic Spell Companion, Mythic Monster Manual, Mythic Hero's Handbook all in hardcover.

The kickstarter is over, but I'm sure these will all be available from legendary games after the kickstarter is fulfilled.

EDIT: I just saw that you are aware of the 3rd party support, but I guess I have to plug it anyway. I'm of the opinion that only allowing Paizo sources is a little bit silly these days, considering how high-quality the content from most of the 3rd party publishers is.

Thanks for the plug, Utarga. For anyone unsure about the quality and qualifications of the people creating mythic content for Legendary Games, I'd just invite them to look at the list of contributing authors to the official Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Mythic Adventures hardback (or Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Mythic Realms or Pathfinder Player Companion: Mythic Origins) and compare the author list for any of our mythic products. Let's just say you're going to see an awful lot of familiar names.

It's not that we would claim that people who worked on the official products are the only people out there with good ideas. There are plenty of brilliant and creative people in the world of gaming, across every company and across the fandom. But, if you're looking for people who have shown their skills, experience, creativity, and credibility, it certainly makes sense to place your trust in the same people who helped create the rules you're already using.
