As stated in blog there is no NDA for alpha. They said they want ppl to do some live streaming. I am not sure how many streaming sites there are, but I currently use twitch. It seems to be very popular. For those you that have the capability to stream alpha, let us know where to find you.

Youtube might be the best and exposing the game to the largest audience.

Yes Youtube should be fine, but btw when does the alpha starts ?

This blog says the target for the people who purchased Alpha access is June 16th and they'll keep us updated if it turns out to be a little sooner or later. Goblinworks staff and some others will be in a bit sooner (basically as soon as they can get the game running on the test server).

The 16th would be serendipitous for me: I'll be flying down to Tennessee for a family reunion on the 13th and will arrive home on the 16th with a week of annual leave already approved!

I'm working out the details and doing some testing this weekend but I plan to stream my Alpha play on Twitch and bring over good streams to Youtube.

It's just too bad that I'm saving all my sick time and vacation time for my baby - firstborn due Sept 1st. Otherwise I'd definitely consider taking at least half a week off just for this, maybe a full one. ^_^

Kitsune, I recommend inducing premature labor and then propping the baby up next to you so he or she can watch you game. That's some bonding time right there!

No against the inducing premature labor, however I do recommend a babysling like these:Baby Sling.

It is a very natural way for a young babe to be carried, it can hear your heartbeat, they sleep fantastic in it, and the bonding is just great. Also, you can play your games, though you may have to sit more upright and extend your arms a little bit. You can carry them in one pretty much from day 1. They are also the best if your baby is having cramps: the propped up "bent" position is very natural and your heartbeat soothes them.

I have great memories carrying all my kids like this, and playing games with them. :) I always use a headset, btw, probably should mention that. :) So no horrible sound effects and such, haha.

Well, thankfully my wife was able to quit several months ago, and will continue to stay at home with the baby. :)

But not to say I won't try something like the baby sling. :)

I just wanted to let you all know that I am going to be making a Guide for streaming on twitch and overlays that streamers may use on their channels. It will be available around the same time as Alpha.

Unsolicited Advice: After the baby arrives, talk with your wife frequently about whether she feels you are spending adequate time with the baby. Gamers tend to retreat into their games to avoid stress and a new baby is about as stressful as it gets so talk with your wife often to gauge whether she feels you're spending enough focused time with the bairn.

Baby Sling! perfect! baby will get to stay close and bond with daddy while getting visual and auditory stimulation. For the benefit of the baby, you need to explain to your wife that you and the baby actually need more gaming time at the computer.

And as you write on the forums, make sure you read out loud the words you type so your baby gets an early start on learning to read! Also keeps you from typing bad words if you do it that way. :-)

Congrats Kitsune I know what you mean about saving time for the baby. My second is due on July 31. Ha maybe we can start a chartered company NBPOPFO (or Newborn Parents on Pathfinder Online) :P We can share stories about baby spitup, crazy things we do because of lack of sleep and more :D

Thank you all!

Individually, I don't think we'll have a problem with dedicating enough time for our precious little girl, but collectively, we'll have to regulate our MMO time - Wife is in Early Enrollment, and she might be getting my Alpha +1 invite. ;)
