Hello everyone!

I'm posting this with the intention to open the community up to a little bit more transparency in regard on how happy we are with where our Guilds placed, and claimed during the Week 1 LR. I know quite a few of us have been trying to play with our cards pretty close to our chests in order to prevent possible espionage or the like but the time for that is now over. The cat is out of the bag and I think it would be useful to start a discussion about how satisfied we are with where we landed. I will go ahead and start it off for everyone.

I'm doing this with the hopes that some of the cloudiness about who got what they wanted can be cleared up so we can all start communicating directly about future development, teamwork, and possible cooperation towards the goal of settling where we desire.

Keepers of the Circle have claimed AB as the location for Keepers Pass (Our Settlement), and I think it probably goes without saying that we are all very excited and happy with our Hex. I cannot speak for everyone in the Keepers, only myself, but I for one am overjoyed to see so many friendly, familiar faces in the neighborhood.

I can verify there are at least two :)

Obviously, Golgotha is happy with where we got. 10/10, would land rush again.

Spot-on ! Very woody and remote as Elves like it, a bit of plain for grain, and lot of friendly neighbors not far away for trade.

This is just the beginning folks. I'd imagine most of the top 20ish are fairly content with where they currently landed. Now some strategy is going to come into play as top end groups decide if they want to hold their spot or snipe lesser groups.

I have to say, I was our top choice, and A was our 3rd choice, so either would have worked out for us so I personally am quite pleased. On the up side I appears to leave us close to our non-agg pact mates and makes heading west from town leads you through the territory of the two largest chaotic neutral settlements, which is giggle worthy.

Can't speak for the rest of Hammerfall but E and Z were our top choices. So we got one of the hexes we wanted. Now we just have to wait and see if the other members are happy with the current setup and who are neighbors are. And if they plan to stay our neighbors or move.

Personal satisfaction: 9.5

That could be risky. None of the guilds (other than TEO, who are ineligible) are so much larger than their nearest competition that they couldn't catch up and take control of a favored spot if it was abandoned for a round. Add in the bonus for holding the same location across rounds and even a slightly smaller guild might be able to keep another from getting their favorite spot back.

Monster Home Hex with three adjoining badlands hexes to constantly escalate into = Crisis Machine in my back yard. Fun!

Tons of dwarves up in the mountains where I can't smell them. None of the Evil groups settled near the Evil NPC town. Also more than a full quarter of settlements are north of the North-ish Coalition so I can spend the next 18 months giving them crap about that.

On a scale of 1-10 I give LR2W1 an A+.

What she said.

It was fun and gave everyone a LOT to talk about. It created a ton of interaction. I kind of wish it were done at this point, but I understand that as a marketing tool, they want it to be ongoing.
And I guess I'll add we're pretty happy with how it looks at this point.

From GW's stand-point, and a lot of others, it makes sure folks have to keep stomping on the gas-pedal.

Yeah, K was always a great spot. It can't hurt to have the Iron Gauntlet, another Roseblood Accord Member, right next door, too!

Congratulations :)

Thank you all for the responses, I admit a shameful bump, but I'd very much like to hear from more of the 33 winning Guilds!

Elkhaven did not get our top few choices, but considering our position in the scheme of things, were pleasantly surprised to get as high a pick as we did, and are very pleased with the hex and our neighbours.

Thod's Friends got what was described in our backstory. We approached the selection from an RP angle (okay - I did also like what the spot offers).

Some 'helpful' people tried to scare me ahead of the draw that Aragon was going for the same spot. I rather saw them settle in W - so huge surprise to see Golgatha there.

Still need to get together with them to work something out - but was busy writing the history of the New River Kingdoms.

We also gathered 3 more members since the landrush. This and Golgotha in W hopefully will secure our place in the next weeks.
