Let's multi class to the extreme! Hepta-classed DD, can it work?

Advice

Here is a character I have and I want to see if it's possible to make it work with multi classes of 7 just for fun sake. He is a child from a family full of magical creatures, so he inherited some of their power. Team has an all rounded Druid, heal and repair Cleric of Sarenrae, Air Elemental Sorcerer that is playing a blaster, a Shadow Dancer, a Ranger with 3 levels of Zen Archer that is really good at grapple. From time to time we will have other players joining us. An Arcane Sorcerer that is all rounded and a Charming Rogue.

What I'm aiming for:

1, Silver Dragon Disciple with fly speed of 90ft- 60ft without any magical items.
2, Able to fight effectively in a melee combat.
3, Must multiclass in to a total number of seven classes.
4, Able to protect team member. (Able to change tactics quickly such as quick draw tower shield to provide cover.)
5, Still effective without magic. (The world is full of magic, but gold doesn't rain down senselessly and magical items are rare.)
6, Must have 4 levels in fighter.
7, No third party materials or from Adventure Path.

Here is what I got:

Two-handed Fighter 4/Silver Draconic Sorcerer 1/ Dragon Disciple 10/ Emissary Cavalier 1/ Holy Gun Paladin 2/ Stalwart Defender 1/ Eldritch Knight 1

Human LG

Str- 32 (18 base + 2 racial + 2 level + 4 DD + 6 Eldritch Heritage: Abbyssal)
Dex- 16
Con- 16 (14 base + 2 DD)
Int- 14 (12 base + 2 DD)
Wis- 7 (7 on purpose)
Cha- 15 (12 base + 3 level)

Fort: + 21
Refl: + 9
Will: + 15

BAB: +16
AC: 31 (10 base + 3 dex + 1 dodge + 7 natural + 9 armor + 1 SD)

Traits:
Indomitable Faith
World Traveler (Sense Motive)

Feats:
F1: lunge
F1: Dodge
L1: Power Attack (will retrain to Skill Focus: Knowledge Plane at level 10)
F2: Combat Reflex
L3: Furious Focus
F4: Iron Will
L5: Pushing Assault
D7: Blind Fight
L7: Quick Draw
L9: Endurance
D10: Power Attack
L11: Flyby Attack
D13: Toughness
L13: Improve Critical : Nodachi
L15: Martial Versatility : Improve Critical (Nodachi)
L17: Eldritch Heritage : Claws
L19: Eldritch Heritage : Strength of the Abyss
E20: Critical Focus

Equipment : Robe of Arcane Heritage, Mithral Full Plate, Tower Shield, Buckler, Nodachi, Scimitar, Composited Bow(SR +3), Club, Dagger X 2, bec de corbin, Scythe, Chakram X 2 and Arrow X 19. (Have no decide which gun to have, want to get dual revolvers just for the look but cost a lot.)

Would like to hear your feedback. Thank you.

You can't take Lunge at F1 (I presume that's fighter level 1, and you were intending to take fighter levels first); it requires BAB+6

What are the rules on retraining feats? I can't find anything from paizo - is it on their site?

You can actually retrain lower level feats into feats that you then didn't qualify for, but now do. I think you can do that with both the fighter class feature and "standard" retraining, but not sure.

A few things for OP:

What does stalwart defender give over just a bog standard level of barb? If you dip 3 levels of paladin (I'd actually go with Enlightened Paladin if you must archetype, not sure what holy gun is doing there). A single level in eldritch knight is terrible.

Gendarme gives you a bonus feat, I'm not sure what you are doing with emissary? Gendarme+standard bearer removes the useless mount you get (even though the flag is a minor bonus at best, it's something).

i don't get it... honestly, i can't even tell what kind of guy you're trying to make, but i'm certain you could do it better. if the question is just 'can i make a guy with 7 classes' then the answer is obviously yes; if the question is 'will a guy with 7 classes be good' the answer is not really.

in this build you're ending up with basically medium BAB, which would be enough to get you full progression divine casting, or 6/9 arcane... instead you'll cast as an 8th level sorc (4/9 with a worse caster level than a ranger or pally). and it looks like you plan to favor fighting with a 2hander, but have very little feat or class ability support for that.

if you really have your heart set on making a guy with a bunch of classes that works reasonably well you need to do 2 things: focus up what you want to do (eg. i want to be good in melee); and, choose classes that have good synergy (ie. benefit from the same stats and have abilities that support each other). even with those, you'll still have to think strategically about how many levels you take in each class to limit lost BAB and/or CL. 7 is probably still too many classes.

you'd probably be better of looking at something like pally 2/archaeologist bard 4/DD 8/bloodrager 6 (not necessarily in that order). i think you'd end up with even higher Str, extra BAB, the archaeologist luck buff (take fate's favored instead of world traveler), more HP, and more mileage from your Cha... i know you want to fly- make an aasimar (angelkin if possible) and take the angelic wings feat (plus then you can make bard your favored class and get an extra +1 to the luck bonus).

sgriobhadair : Sorry, I should had said I retrained Lunge. You can take feats that you are not yet qualify and have it active later. Retrain feats are from Ultimate Campaign.

LoneKnave : I wanted to take Stalwart Defender because it gives me boost for Str, Con, AC and will saves when I'm stuck in one place and have to stand my ground. I often stand in a doorway to protect my team and I found myself too weak to guard that entry point lately, so I thought if I take SD I would stand better chance.

As for Paladin, I was going to be normal Paladin or Divine Hunter. However, I wanted Holy Gun because I will be able to use Gun and it makes me capable fighting things that I can't hit due to their high armor bonus to thait AC and my lag of BAB, attack bonus etc. I do agree 3 level of Paladin is very solid dip, but my goal to multi class to seven classes if possible while still can survive decently. It's a bit childish but I want to try. I'm just taking Eldritch Knight for the feat so I can crit better and have the title of a knight. lol

Lastly, I do agree Gendarme is better than Emissary in most cases, but I'm trying to give my character high speed as well. If I take Emissary. I will have 90ft fly speed and 30ft land speed while it will not slow me down if I ever have to need to swim for my survival and still maintain my AC. Which allow me to take two handed fighter without worrying about being slow down. Also make my flyby attack more effective. However, you give me an awesome idea that I can take both Emissary and Standard Bearer together! Thank you!

nate lange: First, let me explain the thought I have behind the build. I to play a full Dragon Disciple, people told me it's one of the worst class out there but I like it. Able to fly is fun! 90ft is the fastest a PC can get without any spells. But I love to use a large range of weapons, so with Improve Crit Nodachi and Martial Versatility. I can pick up any heavy blade or polearm and able to crit better, which make up for my lack of BAB. Also works well with my str as I'm playing two handed fighter. I will never get stuck with one weapon, just like myself in real life. Paladin levels are for my saves. But having guns is not a bad idea as I can fly and flyby attack. I will be able to take down a target with heavy armor in an open area. Stalwart Defender gives me a little edge when I'm stuck indoor, which goes well with my armors and str from DD and Eldritch Heritage. If I need to cast spells, I can turn dragon form. I get about 6 breathe weapon everyday just in case I'm fighting things that I can't touch. (I don't get much magical items.) Also my monk ranger friend can have the Manual of gainful exercise +5 if we ever find one. Losing 4 BAB will be the same as losing 2 when it comes to using Power Attack. Emissary will be important if I want to make Flyby attack effective, as well as keeping me alive if I even need to swim for my life.

I like the suggestion you have given above. However, I can't take bloodrager nor aasimar. On top of that, my group dislike bard, I would likely die to moment I sing or do anything bard like. But I do understand what you mean, I should focus if I want to make it effective. Thank you for your effort. =)

Don't worry about doing everything - that's what your teammates are for. Focus on doing one thing very, very well. And lucky for you, there's one thing that your team needs badly AND that you can do effectively in a super-multiclass: DEAL DAMAGE. (Melee damage, that is - you've got plenty of archers and blasters. Once you can fly who needs ranged attacks anyway, just charge them. Don't bother with guns or other such nonsense.)

The earliest you can take Dragon Disciple is level 6, and since you probably want to just stay in it until level 16, here's the 5 other classes I would take:

Arcane Duelist Bard
-fulfills the spellcasting requirement
-can cast in light armor
-free Arcane Strike to boost damage

Barbarian
-Rage is awesome
-Fast movement is awesome
- +1 BAB

Fighter
-Bonus feat
- +1 BAB

Paladin
-Smite Evil gives +Cha on attack rolls and +1 on damage against the nastiest thing you fight each day
-Detect Evil finds you things to kill
- +1 BAB

Alchemist
-Mutagen for +4 Str and +2 nat armor, lasts 10 minutes
-Bombs to help deal with swarms and whatnot
-Brew Potion and Throw Anything as bonus feats
-handy 1st-level extracts like Enlarge Person

Feats look like:
1 Power Attack
3-? whatever

Stack Rage, Mutagen, Enlarge Person, Smite, a +Strength belt, your Dragon Disciple strength bonuses, Arcane Strike, and Power Attack for BONKERS DAMAGE FUN TIME. Bonus: Bard gives you access to stuff like Silent Image and Vanish so the enemy won't even know what hit them.

Enjoy!

PS: Doing 2 levels of Paladin instead of 1 Paladin 1 Fighter gives you +Cha on saves and 1d6 swift action healing a few times a day. This will significantly improve your odds of not getting horribly murdered and as such I highly recommend it. Dunno what kind of screwed up Paladin you'd be, though...

PPS: Oh yeah, and you'll have to work something out regarding alignment restrictions with your DM. Typically Paladin and Barbarian don't mix. I can't see this guy being lawful good anyway - maybe he's a Paladin of Gorum. Gorum would definitely approve of making yourself into a multiclassed dragon crazy dude to get power to smite enemies.

Reynard_the_fox: I think you are right, I shouldn't worry about using guns and stuff. I only wanted the gun to look cool and hit stuff with heavy armor, but I should trust my team for it. And you gave me few interesting view as well. Maybe I shouldn't worry about having +16 BAB to make power attack work. Alchemist gives me +2 to attack and damage with +2 natural armor looks far more promising, Enlarge person and throw anything as well as Bombs cool as well. I will think it over a little. But it's very helpful. Thanks.
