Chaotic Good Human Natural Werewolf - Backstory trouble

Advice

I've got some hardcore writer's block, I've been thinking about this for almost a week now and I just can't come up with anything really solid. All I've come up with that I haven't completely hated so far is, he comes from the far north. He has some sort of mission involving trying to help Lycanthropes unable to control themselves, finding themselves and coming back to the side of good, and killing any that have grown to relish their monstrous acts and won't turn away from their evil ways. Inevitably redeeming his people who have gained such an evil and vile reputation. Think this could be developed into an actual backstory?

Love is always a strong motivator and one I use a lot. Maybe throw in a lycanthropic love interest who was struggling against the curse but eventually succumbed to it. If he/she were killed by an evil-embracing lycanthrope then so much the better.

Did the character voluntarily take on the curse to better empathise with his/her love and to help them 'fight it together'? Or perhaps he/she was infected whilst the love interest was out of control?

"Far in the north, there is an isolated village of weres, living in harmony with their inner selves and the world.
I was just another boy in the town, but everyone liked me and my best friend was the chieftain's son.
We did everything together, even falling for the same girl.
He thought she should be his, but she chose me.
When she told me of our coming child, I shared my joy with him.
He raged over it, losing control, and killed her.
Then he ran.
I went after him.
I didn't wait for his father's judgment- he'd always spoiled his son and I didn't know if he would be able to condemn his only son to the death he deserved.
It took awhile- he traveled fast.
I eventually found him a few miles from here.
He ambushed me on the road.
We fought, him taunting me, me striking for the kill.
He went down first, but before he died, he screamed it wasn't over.
His own children would come for me.
Now he's dead and I have my vengeance, but it's hollow.
My love is dead, I can't go home, and I've learned he left spawn throughout his travels.
My peoples consider such children both an abomination and our responsibility.
All I can think to do is, one more time, clean up after my best friend-my worst enemy.
If I can, I may be able to return to my family and village and regain my home.
If I can't, at least I'll be too busy to think of my lost love and the child that never was."

"Barkeep, I tell you to ask you this.
Have you heard of any monsters in the area?
Or anyone hunting werewolves?"

I think so. Love's good. So's revenge. It sounds like he's more likely to target "afflicted" werewolves than "natural", though of course Evil ones are still on the menu. Perhaps he's from a clan of neutral or good natural werewolves that were decimated by afflicted werewolves? Or a clan of "peacekeepers", perhaps with ties to druids or others, that try to keep things in balance?

Is this the "North" of Golarion, like the crown of the world or Realm of the Mammoth Lords? What are the peoples and creatures of the north, is there anything there you could draw on?

Do you have anything else decided about this character (class, etc.)? Does he have an instinct to look for a "pack" (the party), or is he more of a lone wolf? Either can play up a loss, or his sense of purpose.

A friend of mine played a werewolf who role-played controlling his urges partially by eating three times the amount normal beings do. He eventually got a ring of sustenance to bring his lycanthropic hunger down to normal levels. I don't know what class this character is, but working to develop or looking for a potion or item to keep the beast down for those he tries to redeem wouldn't be out-of-character (assuming he's not looking to cure them). Although that brings up the question on if a lycanthrope asks to be cured or killed instead - does he help?

Just random questions to ponder - you could look at the World Of Darkness Werewolf game for inspiration too.
