Yup, but it sure would be funny as hell wouldn't you agree? :)
Sidenote:
I can see the clerk now. Waking up, putting one of his hands onto his face as he wakes up..........
Cue the party hearing:
SWEET MOTHER OF.......YUCK!!!

Heh... turns out you can trip a man when he's prone, it just doesn't do anything:
You can use your AoO to trip a creature that is standing up from prone, but it has no effect, since the AoO is resolved before the action is completed, meaning that the creature is still prone. Once the AoO resolves, the creature would stand up normally.
So any such trip action is just for style points. ;o)
Thanks for the catch, Saitama. I saw, "He stands up" and I just naturally went to, "Well, let's knock him back down again!" I wasn't perceiving him as still prone. Your comment prompted me to go research it and get the sequence of events straight in my head.

Marduk: I would really like that to happen, everyone deserves their moment in the spotlights. And I also envisioned the sidenote, I am really glad that I added the poop smearing to the scenario. It was not mentioned in the text but I was asking myself what a deranged man would do in the toilets...
Wyeth: My tripping monk hates the rule, but has to abide by it... Only way to trip someone just after he stands up is with a ready action, and even then you have to have a GM who is willing to work with you.
Normally the readied action is resolved just before the triggering action completes so you have to be very careful in the wording of the trigger for the ready.

Yeah, I only know that because I allowed that in my home game without knowing that ruling and it completely nerfed a battle against a BBEG fighter :P
It's sorta weird, because you'd think you'd be able to keep on tripping him ala the "Stay Down" line, but at this point, it's more of a game balance issue.

Thanks for the kind words!
I will be out of town this evening and there is not really anything of interest here. But please continue and roll anything you think is appropriate for retrieving the body. After a while you will realize that neither of these two is Nigel. In the other room there are several boxes that contain museum stuff.
We will pick up the action at the end of the corridor, where the drumming is coming from.

Okay Saitama and Silas, in the spirit of full disclosure: After that last trip of yours down Alliteration Alley, I bragged on both of you in the game my other PFS PC is in. There are a couple of pretty serious alliteristas/punsters in that party as well.
I told 'em I thought the lot of you would get along just fine...

![]() |

:P I don't plan on making a habit of it, but I am having fun with Saitama running with strange verbal quirks, the strange wisdom and charisma of the Iroran warpriest.

![]() |

Heads up guys Silas is jumping into another scenario - since he's the only free character I have cloe enough to 2nd for me to bump up with credit. I'd still like to be involved if the group is going to do The Frostfur Captive if that is okay, though I would obviously need to use another character.

Be well, Silas!
GM, do we need a slot filled? I have no one in particular in mind, but (save one newcomer I don't yet know) they're all good players and good people in my other PFS PC's group. No clue how they're set for other PCs but I can float an interest check if you'd like?

![]() |

I understood the distinction. :o) It was intended as a farewell to the PC. I'd been looking forward to the rest of us slowly convincing him his looks aren't that big a deal, and him accepting that he's a valuable team member. I'm hopeful he'll be back at some point so we can do that.
(I mean good lord, Wyeth's clumping around on a metal peg leg...)

GM G |
Wyeth, feel free to invite another player. We have one place free.
Santana, you can do your shopping on profile, as long as you adhere to a kind of tracking in your profile.

Hi all, This is Matt, known to some of you as Knorrin, Oti, Naurin, and GM FurtiveZoog. :)
Merevelyn is going to buy a Wand of Magic Missiles for 2 PP and I'll post other purchases after the briefing.

![]() |

Saitama purchases made (noted in profile). Mostly 2PP for a wand of CLW and some consumables (saving up for the sweet sweet Mithral Breastplate... which will probably be a level 3 purchase).

![]() |

Hey Darmut (I guess I can't speak to Rellen, at least directly...), Same here. :)
I wonder if Choamski is going to continue with the old group or not, post Thornkeep?
BTW, to add insult to our injuries, I read that Thornkeep was designed with a 4 PC group in mind! That might have worked in some places, but not with that boss! Some of the other fights, too, would have certainly turned more fatal with 4 instead of 6.

![]() |

Possibly. Still, CR 8 is rated as "Epic" level of difficulty for a party of APL 5 and four PCs. Really, though, given its damage and to-hit values, HP, etc., I don't think 5 would do it. Non-sarcastically, I'd really like to see the party that could do it: I think I would learn a lot. I'm pretty much a noob about character design and party tactics.

I took the Cosmopolitan feat, granting, among other things, the ability to "peak and read two additional languages of your choice."
Not, in most cases, an optimal feat choice, but she is something of a social skills specialist.

GM G |
I decided to gm a game for the PbP Gameday 2. That should start somewhere after April 5 and be done before July 5th, so even with my pacing that should be possible after we have finished this one.
Two questions:
1) Do you want to participate in that game?
2) Any preference for a scenario? There was a preference for Rise of the Goblin Guild, how does that work for you Merevelyn?

![]() |

Hey GM G,
I would want to participate and have not GMed or played that scenario, so I would be good for it. Thanks for the invite!
(I am trying to figure out what to run for my group, as well, but we currently have an extra-full table of seven, so I can't invite anyone unless I end up doing two tables again at some point.)
