Changes to Fulfillment System

A quick note - we saw some comments in the thread about yesterday's blog about folks thinking that the Fulfillment System was opening to non-Kickstarter backers at the first of July. That's not correct. We're planning on taking the system off line at the end of the month, and then we have to do a bunch of work, and then we can bring it back up with the ability to join in the backing if you were not in the Kickstarter.

The ETA on that next phase has not been set. It will not be the first week of July.

And we may not even take the system down at the end of June, because we aren't ready to start working on the next phase yet.

Thanks for the info Ryan. Much appreciate knowing what to expect, :)

It will be interesting to know how much was eventually contributed once people have selected extra addons.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. I'll be keeping watch for the chance to contribute.

Please keep it up lol, I have more accounts to secure :D

Yeah, yeah, keep it up and we can get more people into the game early.

So if we have a friend with the guild tier sharing his early access with us are the "guildies" still able to purchase Add-ons?

Not yet.

Do we have any idea of what the 'Second Phase' Kickstarter benefits will be?

I have read several posts that suggest that Destiny's Twin will not be available (a shame, but understandable, as it is potentially one of the more powerful Add-Ons).

My bling-loving side would like a benefit along the lines of the 'Goblin Squad' forum title, something to strut about and display on the forum as showing you 'were there' at the start. Not 'Goblin Squad' (they have earned their titles by being quicker off the mark than I am) but a lesser sobriquet. 'Kobold Squad'? 'Giant Rat Squad'? 'Ooze Squad'? I'm not going to sulk if this isn't available, and it is definitely pandering to the ego, but I'm somewhat ashamed to say I think it would be cool to have.

For the character, I had visions of my Alt being a noble-born Paladinesque lady. All shiny armour and perfect teeth. The $10 'Honorable Title' Add-On would obviously be attractive here, as would the $15 'Regional Trait Pack'.

On that note, I really don't like the 'Dame' title and would definitely prefer 'Lady' instead. I know that Dame is technically and historically correct (although it was effectively superceded by Lady around the C17th), but modern popular interpretations of the word are very different to how it was seen back then. A 'Dame' in the modern world is either a 1920s moll, or a pantomime cross-dressing oaf. The title 'Lady' suggests nobility, but 'Dame' suggests spotted bloomers and shouts of 'it's behind you'. Even those granted the title often joke about it in this regard.

Unless there is an existing reason for using 'Dame', might I make a plea to have 'Lady' instead. Your European customers will thank you for it.

I would like to give this a bump.

Are there any news on the new Fulfillment System? Has an ETA be set?

I am anxious to use my new credit card to get into the game asap... ;)

They'll likely post in the Wednesday blog when they have information regarding that.

I don't think there'll be any way NOT to notice they've re-opened the Fulfillment System; there's too much incentive for them to splash it every way possible.

It probably won't happen until a little while after Gen Con. We have a lot of plates to keep spinning at the moment.
