I found a partially charged wand on one of my characters, so I bought that and we'll see if he needs to use it (he just hut lvl 7). That being said, I can only think of one game off the top of my head where the party needed more than one lesser restoration, and that was when everyone had 15 STR damage.

Lesser restoration does not remove ability drain
Yup -- you need restoration for that. Her are common mistakes made with the spell restoration:
• Do not forget the material component cost when buying scrolls of it. It is 800 GP for a scroll that will restore all temporary damage, temporary negative levels, and the drain done to a single stat. It is 1,700 GP for the same spell that will also restore a permanent negative level.
• One can only clear one permanent negative level per week using restoration. This isn't that big a problem in PFS following a scenario, but could be an issue if done during game play.
