We are still VERY early on in book one, we have not even leveled yet. We just left Oleg's encampment and have been playing with the Fey.
Level 2
abilities:
I am not a fan of the buy out systems, so roll 5d6 seven times. Taking the three highest of the 5 rolled and adding them together. Six of these will be your stats. Please show the dice rolls on the recruitment page.
One more twist to help your characters to have that little boost to be excellent in what you do. You may take away from one stat and give it to another. But the top stat cannot be more than 18. But only one time.
So for example you have 11 and 15. Take 3 away from 11 and give 15 those 3. So the 11 becomes 8 and 15 becomes 18.
traits:
2 Traits, and one campaign trait... soon to come.
Roll for your money or take average, but your background story is where you can gain more!
Create a quick blurb about your appearance.
background:
The more interesting your background story the more bonuses you might stumble upon or requests granted. Make connections between yourself and other NPCs and PCs. After all you will be carving out a kingdom together. Such connections could be nobility, guilds, entities, dragons, magical beasts, gods, societies, towns, the townsfolk, the people in charge, etc.
I've long thought that character backgrounds are where players should offer plot hooks to the DM instead of the other way around, you then have more buy into the campaign.
Currently we have myself, Prankster Bard Extraordinaire, a Sorcerer, a Cavalier and a Aldori Sworlord. And for those of you doing the math, the bard is the only healing we have currently.
Any takers?

5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 1, 6) = 18 = 14
5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 5, 5) = 20 = 14
5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 2, 1) = 15 = 12
5d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 6, 2, 1) = 17 = 14
5d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 2, 6) = 21 = 16
5d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 1, 5) = 15 = 13
5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 1, 5) = 17 = 13
So, finally...
Str: 14
Dex: 14
Con: 14
Int: 18
Wis: 13
Cha: 11
I can live with that, rolling witchy-poo.

Rekka the Rat |

Rekka's background, done!
As many rats do, she found her home first in the hold of that ship, later at the docks of Port Ice, and then slowly but surely venturing outward from there. As she grew, she became aware that she was the only one of her kind to be found anywhere. She was at home with the rats from the ships and the docks, but she was not one of them. She was bigger, faster. Smarter. Much smarter. She picked up the languages of the humans and others there, lurking under their feet, and slowly, she began to creep out intio the world of the big people.
Rekka found that if she wrapped herself up tightly, wore a cloak, and spoke from the shadows, she could talk to humans. She could interact, and eventually, work. She was always good with her paws, and could get some menial labor at the docks where nobody asked to see your face or asked too many questions. She worked for a time (Though she didn't necessarily know it) for some of the more unsavory sorts that gathered down at places like the docks. Some people knew about the strange rat creature that the bosses employed, and she was, unbeknownst to her, a sort of 'about town' brigand. Still, she was small, and not very strong, so at first, her earnings were meagre, and her fame inconsequential. But with those earnings, she learned of (and bought) books. And with books, her mind expanded. She became fascinated with the unknown ...
And from the unknown (and her weasel friend) came the magic.
After that, Rekka became something of a real healer. She abandned her work as muscle or patching for the less savory sorts, and began to ply her own chosen trade. With magic to back her up, she found she could actually do this in some places without fear of ostracism, though of course there were always those unwilling to be seen by a healer with a tail. She also found that she was safer to travel about. And so, Rekka became a traveller. Never much one for adventuring, perse, she is more a wandering healer, still researching her unknown abilities, and looking for books and work where she can find it, when she needs it.
Unfortunately, I don't know a whole lot about Kingmaker to start, so I'm happy to work in whatever connection I need to with other characters or whatnot ... I'd just have to talk to them about what they want. :) Rekka (Elf or Rat) is fairly open to new things, I figure she could have met plenty of people in her wanderings around Brevoy. Or maybe even scared one of them at some point when she was still a Brigand.
Rekka's fur is a dark chocolatey brown with a white stripe from the top of her head to the base of her tail. But almost no one sees her out of her cloak.
Out of said cloak also pokes the banded, bandit-mask face of a small ferret.

Hi Fizzy, it's me, Lem Bander, in my unaliased form :) Throwing my hat in the ring as a cleric character. Let's see if that'll do...
5d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 1, 5) = 17 =14
5d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 3, 4, 2) = 19 =14
5d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 2, 1) = 14 =11
5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1, 1, 2) = 11 =9
5d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 2, 6, 3) = 21 =16 +2=18
5d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 4, 6) = 17 =13 -2=11
5d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 1, 4) = 20 =15
We assign those to rolls to any stat right and drop the lowest one right? Leaving me with an array of 14,14,11,18,11,15. I'll probably drop the 13 down to an 11 to bump that 16 up to an 18, but otherwise a very acceptable array :)
I'll modify a cleric I used in another campaign that quickly died. :) Should have a character up around tomorrow.

Ohhh I love being a healer and I would love to play kingmaker.
5d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 5, 3, 6) = 22 16
5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 3, 6) = 19 15
5d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 5, 1, 5) = 19 15
5d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1, 6, 3) = 20 16
5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 5, 3) = 21 16
5d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 5, 1) = 16 14
WOW now that is looking good
Will get on it right now
Will take 2 from 14
so now
18
16
16
15
15
12
pre stat boost will go with human most likely
money 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 6) = 20 X 10 = 200

I'm in! Let me make a Cleric.. if you needs yourself a healer. I'm going to be a bit of an unorthodox healer, however.. but a healer I shall be. Been wanting to do the Kingmaker campaign for quite some time.
Stats:
5d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 2, 6) = 24 = 18 (Score!)
5d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 2, 6) = 22 = 18 (The hell?)
5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 6, 2) = 23 = 17 (Ok I call shenanigans on myself)
5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 2, 4) = 16 = 13
5d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 1, 3) = 17 = 13
5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 6, 3) = 16 = 13
5d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2, 2, 5) = 16 = 12 (Dropping this one)
Changing one 13 to a 12 and making that 17 into an 18, for a final tally of:
18, 18, 18, 13, 13, 12 (This is why I prefer point buy :P)
While I don't yet know the specifics of race, I will be playing an Undead Lord. His.. intimate.. knowledge of life and death will allow him to both heal his party, and raise the dead. Been wanting to play a necromancer type for a while :3 And don't worry, he's not evil. He's neutral, and although he will channel negative energy, I'll look into getting Versatile Channeling so I can channel positive, as well.
As for his backstory? I'll work on it as I go. I usually build a character first, then figure out what to do with 'em.
Also, any word on if the DM allows other races besides Core? I know you mentioned to Lem that just in case, stick with core, but if we could know if we could use alternate races, that would be great.
Edit: Nvm about the alternate races, I've decided on going Gnome. A LN Gnome Undead Lord Cleric of Zon-Kuthon. "Alright, who needs surgery!?" (Said in a Warhammer Dawn of War Mad Dok voice...)
More to come soon!

No races are restricted, but if it is different from the the standard, please pass it by me.
I will be waiting for your background story. The first three in will be selected from. Please PM me when you have it done. I hold the right to veto the background, having you write more...
As Fizzy put it: Also the pace is supposed to be multiple posts per day, we have not necessarily been living up to that, but if you can ONLY post once per day please make sure that you make note of it.
The days we are most active are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. Though you should still be able to get the necessary 3 posts a day.

Freddy Goldsmith |

A little blurb on Freddy. I didn’t notice this before but you would like the recruit to be level two. I will update tonight after dinner and family time. As for posting I generally can post 5-6 times a day every day of the week including weekends.
Can you give me any information that might allow me to tie Freddy’s background into the current game. I have wanted to play kingmaker and the two opportunities I have had to play it didn’t even get to Oleg’s.
Frederick Goldsmith fourth cousin twice removed of the ruling Baron of Medvyed. Frederick’s family though well off as a trading family, has never allowed their children to rest on the achievements of their parents. Every child must find their own way. Not that Frederick wasn’t given the resources necessary for this development; fine education, physical development, religious knowledge, and martial training. It was during his religious training that Frederick found his calling. He was blessed by Sarenrae with healing first and then other gifts were given as he continued to learn her ways. He has learned to deal swift justice with the scimitar to those who are unremorseful and give compassion and peace that are able to turn from their ways.
He has heard of the settling and wants to be apart of the cleansing needed to bring it about. He wants this for Sarenrae’s glory.

Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |

Also, how do you PM someone on here? This is Crusty's character, and although this background is a very rough background, its sufficient for now.
I generally do the stats and then come up with a background from there, rather than the other way around. Plus I feel as if this was rushed.. so I will improve on it.

Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |

Oh.. Order of the Fizz.. and your name is Fizzwiddle.. I get it! Also, gotta love the over-the-top names of both of us. Though I think I need to make my last name harder to pronounce.. its just not long enough
And no need to worry about my health.. I cut myself, inspect myself, and patch myself up daily!
Also, (The DM), if you want to see one of my backstory examples, check out Bærn Steelskull. This is one of my better ones, but it took me a day or so to get it made. I can and will get this gnome's backstory up to this level, if you want me to. After I finish the crunch. :D

Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |

Were they baking tools you accidently left behind when a party member died? As I did say that I found a body with a maping charter on 'em. Could easily say that I found baking tools on 'em, too ;P
If not, the only tools I'll have are a healer's kit, disguise kit, surgeon's tools, and leeching kit. :X
*Edit* Updated Zarzuket's profile with most of his stats, just working on gear now. Took average gold for a cleric (140 gp) and also included the 100 gp extra from his campaign trait. Will add stats for his Corpse Companion soon after.

Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |

You'd love my Dwarf Cleric then.. he was made for another campaign (Did not get accepted), but he's an excellent chef (not limited to baking).. in fact, for the campaign I was hoping to join, he had specifically packed 20 lbs worth of waffle-mix (Travel Biscuit Mix) as well as a few pounds of syrup, 5 pounds of ground coffee beans, and about another.. 30ish pounds of food. Enough to last him a few months, in all.
He even had a waffle-iron that made waffles in the shape of his god's holy symbol. XD
This gnome.. I sadly did not make as hilarious. But, I could always rework Bærn Steelskull if you prefer him to my gnome Cleric, using the same stats I rolled here.
