The Arbiter |

Amarkys enters the arena from the north, and Bruno from the south, Esmerelda following after him. Apparently the horn blower has returned from wherever he was, and he waits for the combatants to ready themselves for battle, his oddly fat lips wobbling by the horn's mouthpiece. The crowd is a bit larger than the last Bruno saw, and smaller than the one who cheered on Amarkys's demise. They wait expectantly for blood.
Initiatives, please. I think each of you have enough description, but it never hurts to be dramatic with your appearance :D

Warlords of Choon |

Bruno is left feeling quite low. He had tried to ride in on Esmarelda as he had before, but found that there was a last minute rule change. Apparently it wasn't "entertaining" enough for him to splatter people against door posts. He had to do it slowly.
Bruno's sullen entrance is probably somewhat less showy than the crowd is used to, but they can all go to the Abyss for all he cares right now.
initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Warlords of Choon |

Bruno sees his opponent duck and cover and breaks into a hearty laugh.
He's gone to change 'is undagaments! 'Haps he saw the splatter I got on that Gnome!
He swings up into the saddle and raises his lance to the crowd.
Ride check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

The Arbiter |

Bruno leaps gracefully into the saddle on Esmarelda's lumpy, humpy, wiry-haired back.
Amarkys, don't take your turn quite yet.

Warlords of Choon |

Thanks
Upon regaining the saddle, Bruno takes on a visibly more confident appearance. He shakes his lance a few times, screams, Oi! Have at ye!, and launches a ball of thick mucus in the direction of his rival, as is his custom. He then urges Esmarelda forward, trying to catch a good glimpse of is foe.
Move to H-I/12-13

Warlords of Choon |

Bruno takes a wound to his thigh, but is able to fight on. He counter attacks, and spurs Esmeralda into action as well. As Bruno's lance seeks a week point, Esmarelda rears her head and launches a glob of stomach bile at the attacker.
my attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
my damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Esmarelda vs touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
DC 13 Fort or Sickened for 1d4 ⇒ 2rounds
Booo, bad dice. All attacks miss. :(

Warlords of Choon |

Bruno easily dodges his enemy's second strike and tenatiously maintains his own assault in spite of his wound. Esmarelda officially joins the fray, biting at the good-smelling threat in front of her.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Esmerelda : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
damage: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Attack: 19
Damage: 11
Mount : 10
Damage: 8

The Arbiter |

Bruno lands a solid blow on Amarkys with his lance, lunging downwards from the saddle and stabbing through the side of his chainmail. The man is wounded, but still standing.

Warlords of Choon |

Bruno catches the spearhead on his shield, deflecting it harmlessly.
attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
ride: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
damage: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Bruno counters, driving his lance with all his strength. His efforts, however, disrupt his handling of Esmarelda. When he attempts to goad her into attacking, she instead shifts her feet in place and snorts.
Attack: 22
Damage: 11

The Arbiter |

I should note that although he did not specify this out of spoiler, Amarkys's attack was aimed at Esmarelda, although it did miss regardless. And yes, Azaelas, he does have more than strength, but that's part of the fun, not knowing how he's built. I can assure you that his damage is legitimate.
Bruno's second mighty downward skewer pierces the other side of Amarkys's armor, sending him slumping to the blood-soaked ground.

The Arbiter |

The crowd cheers Bruno on as he raises his weapon, Esmarelda stomping her feet in the sand. Some people watching have seen Bruno in action three times now, and he's getting to be a popular fighter, appearance and hygiene notwithstanding. The voices around him prompt him to finish his fallen foe.
"OY, DWARF! POKE 'IM TILL 'E LOOKS LIKE THAT ONE CHEESE WITH THE 'OLES!"

Warlords of Choon |

Bruno roars with laughter at the spectator's comment. He drops from Esmarelda and secures the dripping lance to his saddle. On bowed legs he saunters up to his unconscious foe and draws forth a wicked looking pick. Holding it in both hands, he swings the curved spike down and forward like a golf swing, catching the poor soul under the chin.
coup: 4d6 + 32 ⇒ (5, 3, 5, 1) + 32 = 46
that's 54 damage on the coup de grace adding in an extra base 2 for going two-handed on it.
x4 crit weapons are nasty. I sure am glad I didn't run afoul of Doc's pistol

The Arbiter |

Sometimes I just feel horrible narrating this D:
The crowd applauds wildly as the ugly dwarf does some uglier things to Amarkys, ripping the jaw messily from his face and getting blood everywhere. The horn blower, looking vaguely ill, trumpets a victory sort of noise. He's really not very good at blowing horns.
Bruno is the winner!
