So the Goblin Blog this week was kind of underwhelming. So the next Meeting will be for SEPTEMBER 5th 2012 @ 6pm PST .
However this may change based on the Next Blog. This being said if you think of any ideas to improve with the Great Legionnaires or questions you have regarding our structure let me know so i can make an agenda. Also since I am declaring this meeting 3 weeks in advance I ask you all to try and be there. The last meeting wasn't as populated as I had hoped.

Planning to start the Shattered Star PFRPG next sunday Mel. So will need to see your character. I will be around most the evenings this week. There are google document templates for Pathfinder character sheets and this will be how we keep track. So if your still interested let me know and pop on teamspeak to share your character idea. So far we have a Ranger, Ninja and Witch(Possible to change).

I would like to officially set up diplomatic relations with you fine shining tins cans :D
In mine and my associates' line of work, I anticipate that it will often help further our ends to make the lives of some specific categories of groups or individuals whom we may be hired to target (bandits in particular) into a living hell if we have the opportunity to simply say, "Hey Great Legionnaires, there's some bandits over here! We've followed them for a bit and they have hideouts here, here, here and here. Have fun!"
And I assume in your line of work, it will sometimes be more satisfying to see elusive enemies taken down more...covertly. Not to mention merely having a few more sets of eyes looking out for them. Especially eyes that don't have an official company tag with them to cause any sense of alarm. I also assume your methods won't involve getting your hands dirty by risking unlawful assassinations inside lawful territories. So we may be able to offer to extend your reach in that sense to people who try to hide illegitimately behind the law.
If that's not palatable to you though, maybe we'll just stick to exchanging information with you covertly, as a member of your company, rather than openly like this. And just to clarify, "openly" means through Tony, not through our actual assassin characters.

Hello after looking through the various companies ive decided to apply to the GL.
The following character may change as more game details are released.
NAME: Arlo Beck
RACE: Halfling
ALIGNMENT: NG/CG
GUILD: Whitestaff
HOW DID I HEAR ABOUT GL: This thread
WHY GL: Looking for a stable guild of friendly/helpful players
MOST APPEALING PART OF GL: I usual play good aligned characters in MMOs even if there isnt an alignment system. I enjoy helping others learn and succeed, giving items freely and fequently as well as explaining the various mechanics. This company seems like a good fit for me.
RP/BACKSTORY: This will be somewhat of a first for me as I dont usually RP in MMOs due to not finding the correct guilds, but here goes.
Like alot of halflings Arlo began life as a slave in Cheliax. His family had long been owned by one of the lesser noble houses. His parents both died years ago still bound in slavery to Cheliax. His father's dying wish was for Arlo to seek his freedom. Such a chance happened one day as his owner and several of his guards traveled to the River Kingdoms on business, Arlo was among the servants that accompanied them.
During the trip bandits attacked, killing nearly all of the group. Arlo, being smaller than the rest, was able to hide under some bushes. After the bandits left he found himself without an owner, free at last. Grabbing up what gear he could find he set off down the road leading to a small town.
Inside the town sat a small chapel to Desna. The old priest there took pity on the young halfling and took him in. Thus began Arlo Beck's first steps to being a cleric of Desna.
Hope I didnt leave anything out, im using my Nook to type this. Also if I get accepted I do play GW2 and am willing to transfer to whatever server you play on if its within the free transfer period. Thank you for your time.

This is a Reminder that we will be having a short meeting tomorrow.

Should be fairly simple covering some smaller news and some of the blogs. Also looking for some idea gathering. If you have any questions this would be the time to bring it up. Since there has been a 3 week notice I hope to see more people this time around.
PS: Andius or Valinar if you get a chance we should update the membership list with new members and known Guild interests. If either of you are unable I will do it once I have time.

I kind of confused as to why you would post that on the GL forums. GL actually has very minimal influence over the design of PFO. I mean our only influence is as members of the PFO community, not as developers.
The best way to bring these kinds of ideas to the developer's attention is to post them on these forum in the form of a new topic or a response to an already existing topic relevant to the subject.
well i hoped to get somekind of reply that says its either good and usefull or just forget it its useless to many design errors
also i may be eve and wow forum damaged as there you get over 10 flame posts before you get the first real reply if atall
i already posted that here and got some replys and no flame well this "forum" is somewhat free of those annoying attention whores you have everywhere else ;)

Plus I want to see who all is on the Goblin Squad. It's getting close to October and that was when the rest of our rewards were promised, so those forums SHOULD be coming soon by my estimation.

Well assuming goblinsquad is on time, the GW forums aren't a pre-req for such a title, they could use the already in place system for subscriptions of all kinds here.

Marking this as a favorite and dotting it for later. My whole gaming group is interested in Pathfinder Online, and knowing there's already a promising organization we could get behind for support (and whom we can support as well) would definitely be a lot more beneficial for us than trying to do things on our own (we don't even really have the minimum 10 for our own organization).

I would say it's more that they only will have people who can contribute to the community. GL's entire purpose will have a positive impact on this game's community. On day one, hopefully we'll know a lot about the game's systems so we'll be working to establish ourselves right away. We'll probably be claiming a piece of real estate suited to our purposes and starting development almost immediately.
As soon as that plot of land is established then we can set about our various tasks. Crafting, exploring, whatever. Probably a sizeable portion of us are going to be learning and practicing combat relentlessly. Once we are established, have a bit of practice in, and have the economy starting to flow, we will begin making patrols to mop up griefers, and bringing war down upon any established group that promotes griefing, scamming, or other ill behavior.
I intend to use GL's military might to establish morality in Golarion and make this a welcoming, fairly greifer free game for an open world PVP sandbox. We must always be aware that large forces of griefers may try to force their way into this game. In order to stop them I intend to have a well trained, well equipped and highly experienced army and establish a powerful alliance among all who don't want to see a group such as Goon Swarm become the most powerful force in Pathfinder Online.
I'll of course be giving suggestion and feedback along the way. Like the topic I just posted today:

But I think those kind of efforts should be more personal projects than company projects. Members of GL should share an ideal of what they would like this game's community to look like. Shared ideas on game design aren't what hold us together.

I agree Andius I think that GL would be well suited to make a positive impact on Golarion. We must make sure we continue to be seen as much as possible to ensure some of GL are chosen to take part at game launch so we can lay-down the foundation of what we want to accomplish.
I hope you are correct Andius, that we will see the launch of the game by the end of next year... Very excited to see the community will be neck deep in making this game!

Alright so Planet Side 2 has been announced to be released mid-November. It is basically a super huge MMO FPS with some RPG elements. We i say super huge I mean battles that include up to 300 PCs. This is quite amazing. Player join 1 of 3 dominate factions battling for territory on a planet. Players will suit up as classes (i.e. Engineer, Medic, Light, Heavy or Saboteur.) And battle to control land a resources. Also it is a free-to-play game so that’s a big bonus.

Now I may be ambitious here but, I will be trying to call in as many members of the PFO community to try and put together a large team of people. Of course I suspect that some of the veil will want to join but, I think others who are company-free or in other companies would like to join. First I wanted to see what kind of reaction I can get out of GL. Then go to the rest of the PFO community and see if we can band together any take Planet side by storm. If anyone has any opinions on this let me know.

Well I am currently trying to find out what server/faction the PAX community is running with. Since they have already have a group going having the other charters going on the same area might be fun. I am seeing if there is any interest in the 7th veil as well. Then might just make a thread with this idea.

This is a notice for GL Company Members. We will be most likely having a meeting next week between Wednesday-Friday. This is assuming that Goblin works releases the tech demo video tomorrow. The purpose of the meeting is to talk about reactions from the video as a charter. Also we haven't had one in some time so there has been a few blogs to discuss as well. ATM I will be shooting for next Thursday Night unless that conflicts with anyone.
