When Pathfinder Online comes out, what will you roll? For the sake of argument let's assume that you just have one shot at it. I'm just curious about the "dream characters" that people have been coming up with in their heads. I'm especially curious to see how many people make characters for battle versus harvesting/business/etc.

I'm actually debating on mine, but I believe my main character will be a bounty hunter in the fullest, depending on how/if tracking is implimented, if tracking exists, and is limited to druids/rangers, then druid/ranger will likely be my first character. Hunting villainous swine, as well as signing contracts to join in wars for cash is what I am hoping to do.
If tracking isn't a factor, most likely a bard type will be up my alley. Almost everything about a bard is up my alley, buffing, healing and CC are my 3 favorite things (I never run alone in any game). That and bards always open me up to a character that has an amusing, unpredictable personality. (I don't know what it is, but when getting in character on a bard, the character forms a life of it's own that often completely catches my RL self by surprise.)
Also on an unrelated note, I think that we should use PFO rather than PO.
When I hear PO, I am either thinking someone is greatly upset, or of the post office.

I am much more interested in exploration, crafting, and PvE than anything else. As such my "dream character" would be a follower of Desna, and probably have Cleric class levels. Maybe Rogue, Druid or Ranger depending on what they do. I would focus on finding PvE/Gathering content via exploration, crafting helpful consumables and utility items, and generally being a "credit to team." Stealth, Fieldcraft, Dungeoneering, and Healing would be important. In quasi role-playing fashion, I would never settle down in any one spot.

Main - Khimber Vhane - Human Paladin - "Faith. Courage. Steel. Standing Tall in the Dark."
Prime Alt - Nihimon Vhane'Sylvan - Wizard or Sorcerer or both depending on what the differences are. High Elf or Elf or Human depending on how the models look. Short or ugly/weird-looking Elves mean I'll play a Human.
Both will have harvesting and crafting, but I will probably make alts for most of the crafting who steal some of Nihimon's skill progression time now and then.

Legendary infernal teddy bear warlock! I shall name him... Chubbs... mmm... McGee!
While I don't necessarily think that will be allowed as a player character, "The Legendary Infernal Warlock Chubbs McGee" could make an awesome villain for a tongue-in-cheek holiday adventure module. Maybe Halloween?

I'll be playing a human shifter who dwells in the mountains if there are shifting abilities, the possibility to stay on friendly terms with monstrous humanoid npcs, and ride dinos.
If that cannot be done, it'll be a Forlorn elf cleric/oracle who starts a cult worshiping an none-existent goddess who shall lead the cult followers out of the misery of their mortal bodies to pursue greater meanings.
A vagrant ranger without spells / animal companion if neither are available.

As for me, I want to make an elven ranger with a giant spider companion and a penchant for crafting traps and using poisons of all kinds. I want to focus on stalking and killing halflings and unjust authority figures. In essence, my character will see himself as purging the world of oppression and cowardice. And then running like a- oh wait a minute (;

I'd like to roll a bard who... well, entertains.
If I can make a living never setting foot outside of a settlement or moving between settlements entertaining crowds and earning renown, all the better. I'd really love it if I could perform in taverns or on street corners, earning tips and granting those that tip me a temporary (hour or so long) buff that I can improve as my skills grow.
He could be a collector of lore, gossip, or maybe trade secrets. Either way, let perform skills not only exist, but let them exist in many different shades and styles.
If you do, I'll be your friend... promise. (^_^)

Human Cleric - what I like to play in a class; well unless I see the races they are releasing with but yeah so far Human. Least fits my story.
But then again Crafting has my interest so that might be a mixture for me Cleric based but strikes the hammer to create an item that he feels his deity whispered to him to make.
"I will make this weapon for you, not because you told me to; but because the my god willed it to happen."

Ghern Blacktusk, Half-Orc, probably going to end up going Fighter, Barbarian, Ranger or maybe Cleric. Just something very viscerally pleasing to me about Melee Combat, and hopefully I'll get the chance to be a farmer or inn-keeper or something useful outside of combat.
Also a game that finally has Canon Half-Orcs as a playable race, yeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

This is pretty much what I intend to play too. ^_^
(With a little magic flinging for gits n shiggles on the side so I'm not totally useless in combat.)
Just hoping that Bard isn't relegated to purely a buffing machine and offers a entertainment trade in and of itself.

I'm thinking for myself
Halfling Bard Warlord, leading a band of mercenaries. A bard that is either on the front lines, or just behind the front lines ensuring his troops are inspired and foes are distracted via illusions or whatever other tricks he can pull out of his sleeve. Competent with a rapier, but will usually rely on spells and songs unless his dangerously short on other combatants.
Diplomatically a bit insane. Known for attempting negotiations by entering enemy territory unarmed and uninvited and requesting to see the person in charge face to face. He avoids using long range magic for communication whenever possible.
Leaving out the name, because historically in many MMO's saying a name on a forum before a game comes out, is a quick way to be beaten to the name.

definitely my half orc barb, Rok. my first d&d character and still my favorite, can mix it up in melee, has great perception, disable device, climb, acrobatics, survival and stealth skills. Always played him as more of a wily scout then a fully fledged barbarian so its great to see his skills will actually be of use in this mmo!
