Caster lvl increase from trait and feat. Do they stack?

Rules Questions

Hi, srry don't have access to my books as in hospital so running from memory. Playing a fighter1/wiz1 about to hit wiz2 I have magical knack to off set the fighter lvl and for role-play I'm going to take varissian tattoo, I'm spec wiz with spell focus appropriate so all fine and this will increase my focused spells by 1 caster lvl. So will that one stack with magical knack? Pretty sure as it's a trait bonus wasn't sure if there was a ruling on caster lvl stacking.

Tks in advance.

Nick

There is nothing in the rules about Traits and Feats not stacking, so yes they do stack. Remember, while they add to your caster level (3rd for most spells, 4th for the Specialist school), they do not grant access to addtional spells. This means you do not have access to 2nd level spells yet, as your Wizard Level is only 2.

PRD Link to Magical Knack
D20PFSRD link to Tattoo
So that Nick has links to both rules locations while at the Hospital

Tks David most kind, totally aware I'm still. Knocking out lvl 1 spells until wiz 3 regardless of CL. Makes the day go abit faster.

Cheers fella

Nick

Caster level bonus stacks. as long as the source does not give a restriction or is same name. Most caster level bonus are treated as unnamed bonuses. and those that are not list it as a certain bonus examples of ways to increase caster level.

+1 Precocious Spellcaster [trait but a non named bonus to a spell]
+1 Varisian Tattoo, evocation [feat, requires SF evoc and affects entire school]
+2 Spell Specialization [feat affects specific spell]
+1 Bloatmage Initiate (feat says it stacks with other feats)
+1D4-1 Orange Prism Ioun Stone in a wayfinder (magic item unnamed bonus)
+4 Spell Perfection [doubles bonuses from Varisian Tattoo, Spell Spec, and Bloatmage Init and other feats]
+2 Bloodline Power (Stormborn unnamed bonus from class)

Caster Level = Caster Level + 1D4+10 if in precipitation.

yes you can not cast higher level spells. But with all these feats and traits as a level 1 wizard you could be if you rolled treated as a 15th level wizard for say Magic Missle. that would mean you get 5 missles when you cast it instead of 1.

+1 Precocious Spellcaster [trait but a non named bonus to a spell] - A Taldor Trait bonus to 1 Cantrip and 1 1st Level Spell.

+1 Varisian Tattoo, evocation [feat, requires SF evoc and affects entire school] Bonus to School - (2 Feats)
+2 Spell Specialization [feat affects specific spell] - prereq same as Tatoo (1 Feat)
+1 Bloatmage Initiate (feat says it stacks with other feats) - prereq same as Tatoo (1 Feat) - Says it stacks with Spell Focus (On something that it doesn't stack with - DC vs Caster Level)
+1D4-1 Orange Prism Ioun Stone in a wayfinder (magic item unnamed bonus) 30,000 plus the cost of the Wayfinder
+4 Spell Perfection [doubles bonuses from Varisian Tattoo, Spell Spec, and Bloatmage Init and other feats] "Prerequisites: Spellcraft 15 ranks, at least three metamagic feats."
+2 Stormborn Bloodline Power (Stormborn unnamed bonus from class) - No mention of this bonus.

So this "First Level" Wizard needs to be at least 15th Level, have access to Taldoran Traits and Varisian & Bloatmage rituals and spend
(Spell Focus, Varisian Tattoo, Bloatmage initiate, {3 MetaMagic Feats}, Spell Perfection) 7 Feats (plus any other to access the Bloodline)

this was just example of how these stacks. Yes this is not possible to take all these at 1st level but my example is stacking.
