Bit confused with the lvl 2 mage spell Shatter. it says that it can sunder and item but what does that mean? i know sundering objects requires a hit and takes appropriate damage minus hardness, but does the spell instantly destroy the item after a save is made? or does shatter do damage to the object using the 1d6 per lvl rule as per crystaline? Hi, srry don't have access to my books as in hospital so running from memory. Playing a fighter1/wiz1 about to hit wiz2 I have magical knack to off set the fighter lvl and for role-play I'm going to take varissian tattoo, I'm spec wiz with spell focus appropriate so all fine and this will increase my focused spells by 1 caster lvl. So will that one stack with magical knack? Pretty sure as it's a trait bonus wasn't sure if there was a ruling on caster lvl stacking. Tks in advance. Nick

a magus has an arcane pool as does his blade, is the above bit of text refering to the magus's pool or the blades...does the magus/blackblade not get an arcance pool until lvl 3?? abit confused.. tks in advance
ok tks for that guys... now what are the options if i added Cleave to the mix? i know i wouldnt get true strike bonus and would get the defensive penalty and power attack minus but an attempted second hit is better than none.. round 1 cast true strike and move into combat Round 2 activate true strike, fight defensive use power attack, use standard action for cleave and then follow through with cleave with all the added negative modifers... is this ok and legal??
yeah im aware of the normal rules for the spells and what will apply in combat and the wizards ones wont..im not an uber player if a lvl of something fits for the roleplay side then thats where i go, and also the abjuration specalist abilities of the energy resist and +1 deflection ability will help me and the group.. Not got ultimate magic as of yet..so may change.. ty for the speedy answers :) So good to be back :)
Hi all, first off want to say hello as coming to pathfinder after getting sick of all the crap over at you know where and i must say it feels so good to back.. To see the names of Eric Mona and James Jacobs again brings me right back to my days of searching through Cauldron and those wonderful adventures... So we are starting up a campaign soonish and now the hunt for new characters is happening. I was going for a fighter/wizard first off then i saw Magus...very nice from what i can see on the playtest download. but my question is, if i take one lvl wizard as i wanted a bonded item as part of my backstory and having a few more 1st lvl spells always helps... If i made the wizard a specialist in this case abduration... would the prohibited schools that i have to take have any impact on my Magus spells?? Thanks in advance Nick
Nice touch with the undead graft. Im thinking about more and more of having Filge be undead, a wight with his wizard levels and maybe a prestige class. Any ideas for a good nasty evil prestige class?? Necromancer is the obvious one but need cleric lvls for that.. Not got books to hand, but the PALE MASTER??? Anyone else bring back filge?
In my campaign the party killed Filge, but the party cleric/wiz a user of undead minions, had a real hatred of him. I had filge's remains dug up and removed from the cemetary in between chapter 1/2 as a little tease for the party, but Filge's name has kind of been forgotten. They are just about to start HOHR and i got to thinking about how to bring Filge back..... Thought about them catching glimpses of him in crowded Waterdeep sreets, as they move around just to un-nerve them, been playing abit with thier heads of late with one thing and another. Then i thought how about bringing him back big style in the Champions Games(having found out the party has entered) in a competing team!!!! He will of course be either raised or undead not quite decided which yet. Kulen is also still alive so....... So what do you all think?? any advice/tips/ideas???
playing in about 2 hours, just a quick shout for help re the black dragon egg. When it breaks how many worms are we talking about inside? Just trying to figure out the rate of infection of lizard folk eggs. I dont wanna spend all night on it just create a sense of fear etc. I was thinking of creating a few spawn and have the remainder of the worms die shortly after. Any other advice/hints anyone can get to me in t-minus 2 hours??? The clock is ticking........ |
