1. Does the Eidolon's first HD max out (like class levels) or do you have to roll it?
2. Using the "share spells" ability, can you cast enlarge person on your Eidolon?
I know the spell says Humanoid, and Eidolon is an Outsider. Thanks!
1. No, typically only the first PC hit die is maximized.
2. Yes, you may cast any spell on it which you could cast on yourself. If, however, you weren't humanoid, then you wouldn't be able to.

1. You don't max it. But you don't normally roll it (just like any monster, summoned animal, or animal companion) but rather take the average.
2. Share spells can let you ignore the type in this way. You can enlarge person or reduce person on your eidolon.

1. Still hasn't been addressed in PFS. Go with your GM in home games remember Eidolon doesn't get HD at every level. in PFS some people do max 10 others the average of 5.5.
2.Yes, any spell you can cast on yourself you can cast on your Eidiolon.

The Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play states that companions get the average on their rolls. I have always assumed this extended to eidolons (It applies to virtually every other non-PC thing in the game, so I don't see why it would make the exception.)

except an Eidolon isn't a companion. Familiars for example get half their master HP (and they aren't companions either).
The issue occurs as the average is 5.5 for an Eidolon (d10 etc..)
Either way it would be nice to have a ruling as covered off by others in previous threads.
Some people are giving them max HD i.e. 10 HP + Con bonus at first level and others aren't.

as to the first it gets its HD the same way as the summoner does so its all personal preference
Im not going to bother with the other question since it has already been answered by others
