I think that playing beorning in LOTRO might finally push me to make a working shapeshifter base class...
Druid archetype? You could give a weaker version of wild shape at 1st and take away some other powers to compensate. Maybe also make wild shape more versatile as levels progress. If you swap out spellcasting, you should have plenty to work with.
No really. I prefer archetypes to new base classes and will forever think paizo dropped the ball in not developing them further. No, this isn't just to nugie paizo, I think tsr did the same with skills and powers.
happy St.Martins Day !
(and apparently Polish National Day and US Veterans Day)
The Dwarfling liked walking (well buggydriving) in the lantern procession and he was completly fascinated by the Bonfire
and I had the first mulled wine of the season
naturally he is now wide awake and refuses to sleep

Noncaster. Full BAB.
Actually I think about two quite different classes - one would be using wildshape mechanics and be long-term shapeshifter where the new form itself would be the advantage. The other class would be short-term shapeshifter, where quick bursts of polymorph would be equivalent to barbarian's rage and beyond the advantage of the form taken it would get augmentations from spirits, like spirit of spring (or maybe spirit of unicorn) providing healing aura or something like that.
My parents, having lived in cities their whole lives when they got married decided to move to the country (i.e. Wisconsin) and become cliche organic farmers, so in addition to the multitudes of chickens, turkeys, pigs, cows and a horse we also had two Goats and our farm was at the bottom of a wooded hillside with a nice family on the hilltop.
when i was nine or ten our goat pen had ten foot high wire fence, which they would gradually bend down between the fence posts until they could climb over it (it didn't take much goats are f@&*ing crazy good climbers!) anyway we'd get a call from a top the hill so me and my year younger brother would march up the hill with the tether!
now a goat that doesn't want to move will not move, at all so one of us would have to pull on the tether and the other would have to push her in the rump, pull and push, push and pull, all the way down the hill. we'd get the pen as fixed as a 9 and 10 year old can fix a ten foot tall goat pen, then back up the hill for goat number two! which we'd get about half way down the hill, where we'd get passed by the first goat marching back up the hill.
lol i hate goats!
to top it all off my teenage brothers refused to help because "they're your goats!" (in other words for.... reasons?) it should also be noted i never once, never ever asked for a goat:)
The dentist visit turned in direction not expected, and definitely not wanted.
The small dental cavity discovered discreetly sitting on the back of my lower right six revealed to be a gate to much bigger internal cavity... The dentist had to remove a part of the tooth and cover it in temporary filling. In about a month and half I am supposed to visit her again and then it will be decided between root canal therapy and reconstruction of the tooth or only reconstruction.
Current shape (or lack of thereof) of the tooth is mostly annoying. I am also not happy about prospect of eating anything with the current set-up. It will be long month and a half.
Unless it starts to ache or the temporary filling falls off or there are any other complications. I am supposed to visit dentist as soon as remotely possible in such case.
Of course Polish public health insurance covers the costs of surface cavity clearing and filling. Root canal therapy, reconstruction of crown are not covered, though. Not in case of tooth that are in the back of mouth.
A short nap now and they back to writing <redacted> to <redacted> for <redacted>. Deadline is looming and I wouldn't want to be caught dying from blood infection complication of infected tooth without finishing it first.
Positive aspect of the day: I bought a moderately fitting cheap belt today when I was in hurry for the dentist appointment so my pants are no longer trying to drop on me.
Congrats on the contest, and commiserations on the tooth. Hopefully all things balance out. And if your throat is at you, I advise gargling aspirin in hot water. Does wonders for when I get my bi-monthly infection.
My son is here tomorrow! Yay! :D I love his visits. No plans set in motion yet, outside of playing with numbers and colours and making sure he is happy and well.
Oh, I'm also his joint legal guardian now. Which is nice. :)
Huh. A guy from power plant came to read electricity meter in my building, when he started reading my electricity meter he was baffled because he couldn't find me. Electricity wasn't shut down, bills were paid, but his hand console said nope, there is no such flat number. I need to go to electric provider office and ask why...
Turns out my GM tonight isn't the flakiest, since one of the other groups GM's has cancelled the entire game. However 1 player isn't turning up for the game, which is a pity & hopefully the new Spanish guy will return or else our group will be down to 2.
Huh. At power company office they told me that the contract is active, there are some late bill that I pay later today or tomorrow but otherwise it should be fine. Apparently when my mother was in Poland in August she provided estimated electricity usage up to October - it might be the cause why the system wasn't ready to get the updated usage... Or maybe that happened because the company that reads the meters is different than the electricity provider...
