I apologize in advance if this is a repeat or posted else wear in more clarity.
Can the summoner cast enlarge person on the eidolon, because of the share spells (ex) ability?
thanks for the help :)

He can only enlarge person his eidolon if he enlarges himself as well, I believe.

Liberty's Edge

Yes, he can.

And he doesn't need to "cast it on himself".

The requirement is that the Summoner BE ABLE to cast it on himself.

Share Spells (Ex)

The summoner may cast a spell with a target of “you” on his eidolon (as a spell with a range of touch) instead of on himself. A summoner may cast spells on his eidolon even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the eidolon’s type (outsider). Spells cast in this way must come from the summoner spell list.

This ability does not allow the eidolon to share abilities that are not spells, even if they function like spells.

Enlarge Person

School transmutation; Level alchemist 1, magus 1, sorcerer/wizard 1, summoner 1, witch 1; Domain growth 1, strength 1; Bloodline aberrant 1, boreal 1

CASTING

Casting Time 1 round
Components V, S, M (powdered iron)
EFFECT

Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one humanoid creature
Duration 1 min./level (D)
Saving Throw Fortitude negates; Spell Resistance yes

So no, the share spells ability specifies that the the spell must have a target of "you" for it to be applied.

The ability does more than that:

Share Spells (Ex): "The summoner may cast a spell with a target of “you” on his eidolon (as a spell with a range of touch) instead of on himself. Also, this was a very old thread.
