Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary 2 is shipping!

One of the most fun meetings we've had at Paizo in the last year is the one where we started brainstorming monsters for Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Bestiary 2. Following up on our wildly successful Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary was certainly a challenge. Personally, I wanted to fill in the monsters from the 3.5 SRD that didn't make it into the first Bestiary (except for a few that were frankly kind of lame—those ended up getting kicked up a notch in Misfit Monsters Redeemed). I also wanted to update the monsters we created for our Adventure Path and Module lines during the 3.5 days, with Legacy of Fire left out of consideration since it was deemed too new. We didn't quite fit in all of them, but many of our favorites from the first three APs and a number of our modules got the full Pathfinder RPG treatment. Of course, we also added a bunch of entirely new creatures into the mix, filling holes in the CR levels for most of the outsiders, among other things.

So go beyond goblins with an army of fantasy’s most fearsome foes! Bestiary 2 presents hundreds of different creatures for use in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Within this collection of creatures you’ll find undead dragons and mischievous gremlins, shrieking banshees and unstoppable titans, the infamous jabberwock, and so much more! Yet not all these monsters need to be foes, as new breeds of otherworldly guardians, living shadows, and vampires all might take up adventure’s call. In addition, new rules for customizing and advancing monsters and an expanded glossary of creature abilities ensure that you’ll be prepared to challenge your heroes wherever adventure takes them!

Encompassing more than 300 monsters, there's a lot of cool stuff in Bestiary 2, though of course some favorites still got left out. (Guess we need to have a brainstorm for Bestiary 3 soon!)

If you'd like to tally your kills for all these new monsters, or would just like a cool poster to hang in your gaming room, check out the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary 2 Poster!

Inquiring mind want to know! Hehe :)

I got the poster from my FLGS. Even though it was a promo, I went ahead and gave him 6 bucks for it.

It was worth it.

Physical copy was shipped to me Monday I believe. It will get here soon I hope. But if they do make a Bestiary 3 next year I'll grab that too.

OK, Now I have it and I'm in the process of reading it. I have a suggestion for the Paizo staff for Bestiary 3: You got one modron in 2 can we see more for 3? And if at all possible could you please call them modrons? I can just picture them having the same origin as inevitables in Pathfinder.

Not possible. The only public domain "Modron" is a Welsh mother goddess. No reasonable way to associate it with a race of LN outsiders without stomping all over WotC IP, since no modrons were ever released as open game content.

Just got this.

Excellent on all accounts. Nice CR spread, nice use of existing knowledge base, nice use of original material, love the real-world myths.

As for 3...
