Silver Crusade

Would it unbalance the Baldebond Archtype to allow a mythic version of the Mythic archtype to use any Melee Weapon. add the prerequsite of Component Power [Somatic]?

Silver Crusade

Well what kind of weapon? Are we talking about 2 handed weapons, ranged weapons or just one handed meele weapons?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I want to play a baldbound magus now.

Sebastian, I was refering to 1 handed and two handed melee weapons if a magus wants to use a ranged weapon they all ready have a real good archtype the MYRMIDARCH.

Well the Myrmidarch isn't really my cup of tea, but if you really want to.... But to answer your question: If you want to make a mythic feat of mythic ability that does this, it shoudn't really be a balance problem. It might very well be a logistic problem, if you create your character without mythic tiers.

Note that removing the weapon limit would not give you the ability to use spell combat with a two handed weapon.

Sebastian, it was my intent to allow All Magi to use spell combat and Spell strike with one or two handed Melee Weapons. It is my understanding of various Mythic Rules is that they change or alter how standard rules work example the Feat Mythic Spring attack lasts you make two attacks instead of one attack. Fleet Warrior allows a Champion when making a full attack to move before or after making a full attack instead of just taking a 5' step

Well, the examples you listed are quite interesting. A lot of the mythic versions of existing feats are pretty clear upgrades, maybe the best example for this is the mythic version of power attack. Some do change quite a lot, like mythic arcane strike (turning it into a very good option, since it doesn't eat up your swift actions all the time).

Fleet warrior is nice, but not really specific to any class, but I really don't see a reason not to make class specific feats (to lazy to properly format ):

mythic spell combat:
Prerequisites: spell combat class feature
Benefit:You can use spell combat while using a two handed weapon. This does not confer any ability to ignore somatic or material components (so the still spell feat and an ability to ignore material components might be required.
As a free action, the Magus can spend a point of mythic power to increase the caster level or DC by 2. This ability can only be used while using spell combat.

mythic extra arcane pool
Prerequisites: Extra arcane pool
Benefit:Whenever you spend a point of mythic power, you regain a point from your arcane pool.

I'm not entirely sure what you'd be trying to accomplish with wanting 2handed weapons, but if you're just looking for a boost to base damage maybe create a feat granting magi the ability to add impact to their weapons. This would effectively make a longsword into a greatsword damage wise anyway.
