It is early in the morning and before you lays Carpenden a generally sleepy little village of tradesmen, surrounded by a community of farmers, hunters, and trappers. You and your companions have been traveling through rough terrain for several days after your latest series of misadventures, and the town surrounded by its rough wooden walls and some roughly three dozen, primarily wooden buildings, offers some semblance of civilization.
There are a few other people moving about outside the village if you would like to talk to any of them.

If its a room you want head to the Burning Stone Inn, but for a good time I recommended the Stuffed Wolf Tavern. The Stone is in the center of the town square, you can't miss the sign, but for the Stuffed Wolf you'll want to head to the far northern side of town.

Well there's an armory run by some grumpy dwarf, there's a magic shop run by Mr. Nezzran - he stops in for a drink every now and then, there's a store that sells candy and some other stuff run by Breten Ozix's brother, there's a fortune teller visiting town, shes got a great big blue tent, I wanted to go check it out, but Mr. Pickerdown told me it was a lot of nonsense and that I couldn't go there. There's a painted lady room - I've never actually seen any of them though, and there's a Barbershop - the Barbershop is the best place to go for all the juicy gossip, plus they play some games in there. There's also a library in town that I like to go to, theres some great books with pictures even though I can't really read. Then there's the Temple of Pharasma which they say keeps watch over people from the time their born till they're dead, when Pharasma herself takes over the watch.
Well go ahead and follow me to the jail and we'll see if the Sheriffs in!
