Unless we want to do an all force user game, I will be a support role. Either a medic or mechanic. Maybe a blend.

I am interested in being a player since I took over the gm of the game I am in. Not sure on concept yet, if you are good with me joining I will figure out one tomorrow

I guess this is dead. Is there any interest to "start again"

based on the text in the sidebar on 199 of the edge of the empire rule book I can see this being either. As we had the surprise and attacked I could see how it played into cool but also that vigilance was appropriate also. In the end it doesn't really matter to me, I will just roll vigilance to make it standard unless it is and obvious ambush or prepared situation. I am still fully learning the mechanics and I appreciate the input. Also I think you got your statement backwards, Cool is for the expected an vigilance the unexpected.

if we don't hear from him by Monday, I will take over. Is Jaarka/Jan still around?

If DM Ark is overcommitted I can GM for a while.

I have not but I am okay with the pic I have.

Yep, Kellen was imagined as con man/entrepreneur that does some shady work also.

works for me too, I already have built into my back story (obligations), which is sitting on the GMs desk, how to account for the ship and my presence. I wanted to make sure I was not railroading the GM before posting it. I will post it now and await his approval as it might help us all fit together.

On a side note, I am not very deep into knowledge of the start wars canon and I am looking for a planet in Hutt space that a human could have come from, assuming his family was in the trading business. anyone with ideas?

DM Arknight wrote:

Ah, one question. :)

I see Karl Urban would be Jan'Tar, but who would be playing our other parts? :)

I have been trying to figure that out for Kellen, the best I can think of right now is Nathan Fillion. A cross between Mal, Richard Castle, the techie side of Tony Stark, with a little Paul Rudd's sarcasm thrown in.

Well........ It appears that the board issues last night ate my post in response to FC's questions.... :(

1) everyone looks good. Have 20 bonus XP for all (as if still beginning XP). :) (then spend an additional 80 (no skill ranks over 3) )

2) beginning Obligation/ Duty will be 10.

3) correct. Same 1d100 starting funds for all.

******
Looks like we lost Rorek55 due to RL issues and I haven't heard back from either of the others yet :( I'd like to have at least one more solid player before we start, but like you I'm anxious :) If you want to banter back and forth a bit in the gameplay as if you were on the ship getting ready to arrive in the Roche system, I wouldn't stop you. :) current ship is a modified YT-1930 called the Kessel's Folly

I am still here, I will make a character today

I cant decide, I will either do a scoundrel, mechanic, doctor, scholar (in order of desire) depending on what the group needs and what fits into the campaign.

I for one like the core rule book only concept. Sure I have a bunch of builds i never tried but there is nothing like the clean, sleek basic rules to really make a player define themselves without a bunch of little rules tweaks.

I will have something up tomorrow as I am rethinking what I really would like to do.

all of the above, fighting, intrigue, imperial patrols, smuggling, etc

I am interested in playing. I have always imagined the EotE with a firefly feel but would be down for anything. I have EotE and AoR books. I guess my first run at a character would be the smuggler type with mechanic/techie background depending on the campaign.

I am very interested also. I would prefer a cleric, ranger, or druid. I will post asome ideas tomorrow. My profile has a bunch of my PbP characters. I also would be into swapping dm hats

If you end up with an opening, I would love to join in. I have the books also.

I'm in Loudoun, but Fairfax is OK too. Either day of the weekend, in the evening is what'll work for me. As for hosting, unless you had something in mind first, we'll have to figure out location.

It's possible I could host but we'll have to sort that out if/when we get closer to solidifying stuff.

Are you interested in playing or GMing?

I would only be able to play on Mondays or Wednesday evenings. I would be down to DM or play but it really depends on the players play style. Let me check with a few of my regulars to see what day they could start playing again. Do either of those days work? It would be hard for me to do weekends on regular basis.

What area are you in and do you have a day /night you were thinking works best?

Nasir is geared up and ready to go.

I just posted that you should only have starting gear and you will get a cut of the party loot to date. None of the other characters have had the opportunity yet to trade or choose new gear. Please let me know what gear you "want" so I can finesse the party loot a bit to fit your needs also.

Well, time again for me to add to my bank of airline miles. I'm leaving again for Turin on Saturday, and won't be back until the following Saturday (the 6th). Please feel free to DMPC me in that time when needed.

No problem we are still getting all the new people worked out but I will start moving forward some as soon as Ender gets home and Numair, Makin, and Faysal are up to date. I will verify this weekend on your characters.

On a side note please to not include any gear beyond your starting cash as you will get a split of what the party has found so far. None of the original characters have had the chance to get new gear outside of loot.

Fawziya's snapshot at level 1 can be viewed here.

Adjustments: skill adjustment (Diplomacy 1 rank, Handle Animal 2 ranks, Intimidate 3 ranks, Perform 2 ranks, Ride 2 ranks, Sense Motive 1 rank, Use Magic Device 1 rank, total = 12), 3rd level feat (Power Attack), class abilities (HP, saves, BAB, etc.).

Equipment: Masterwork scimitar (315), masterwork lance (310), masterwork half-plate (750), chainmail barding for Jamaal (600), Cloak of Resistance +1 (1000), total (2975 spent).

If selected, I will make these adjustments to the character.

Just a thought about the cavalier class, so far in the adventure you would have to had been dismounted for 90% of the combat. I am not sure what the future brings but I would keep that in mind in your design or think about a different class that can still use mounts when situationaly feasible. Up to you.

Dervish Dance is approved if you want to use it and you can respec, or if you would rather do something else such as using dex to power attack I am good with that. Just let me know what you want to do, I have no problem allowing stuff for players who dont munchkin. Good to see you back.

Sorry for the slow response as I was on vacation and now Ender is out on vacation. I will look over Setesh and Fawziya but I am letting Ender have final approval as he is one of the original characters. I will get back in the next few days.

I will be out of town for a week so I probably will not be able to check the boards. Ender_rpm will check the thread and let you know who is chosen. Thanks.

I will be out of town for a week so I probably will not be able to check the boards. Ender can you check the recruitment thread an you can Numair can choose who you would like to have.

Keep in mind I am pretty sure we were using the bonus racial HPs that pathfinder had in beta. Reach spell is fine.

Ender_rpm wrote:
Advanced race? Faysal may need some tweakin :)

I dont have the book but let me know what you may want to change and I will find it.

no hurry Nasir, we still have a few more people to recruit.

Oversized 2 weapon fighting is a 3.5 feat. Has Paizo added that to any of its books?
** spoiler omitted **

I have no issue with using that feat but I will be a little shy about the monkey grip route. I like the concept if light fighters that are not rangers, ask Faysal as I try to pull it on him every time he DMs. Please take Nasir to level 3 and head over to the discussion thread to meet the 2 previous players (faysal - ender, and numair - bryan)

Hey, Xyro! Good to see it's back. I would like to rejoin; only problem is I was playing around with Numair some time back (was considering using him for another game) and his stats and stuff are long gone. I know he was a 3rd level evocation-specialist wizard, but other than that, I lost all of his info. Don't recall his feats, traits (well, I remember his campaign trait was the one that gave a memento of a parent, but not the other one), gear, etc. Any problems if I rebuild him? I remember a good amount of his background.

Feel free to rebuild him at 3rd level. Core book only unless you have a specific rule/feat/spell you want then I will want to approve it. I am pretty sure you had something from the APG on him. APG is fine as long as you let me know what you are using. All the original characters were built using just the core book so I am trying to be safe vs power creep. I will assign gear above 1st level from what was found up to this point so just by starting gear

Reopening this campaign, it was put on hold a year ago. I am looking for 3-4 players to replace any existing characters that are no longer around. 3rd level pathfinder characters, 20 point buy, core rule book only at this point but you are welcome to ask to use specific additional rules. please submit a character background (not build).
Thanks

Any idea of the release date of the pdf? I see the physical books are available at GenCON right now.

Any one know of a good one? I don't need any role play though some will not disqualify. 3.5 would work also.

Billz! long time no chat. My groups have dissolved too thanks to life and being grown up. Wish I could find a nice game again that was fun but not all consuming.

I always wanted to do a party with two paladins, one a variant of freedom. One LG and one CG. Play them as Luke (LG) and Han (CG). I guess we would need a anthropomorphic ape fighter also (which I did play. Fun stuff not having a real language).

I too have been having the issue, unfortunately after looking all over the web it appears to be a windows 7 / HP printer driver/acrobat 9 issue. If you go back to XP and use reader 8 it prints alot faster. I am a system admin by day and have troubleshot (not a real word) this on several different PCs and printers and the only way I can consistently print is from an XP machine using reader 8. Linux is a close second but the ghostscript drivers for HP and reader have been slow for quite a while. At first I thought it was a Paizo issue as I remembered printing out the alpha, beta, and Rise of the Runelords super fast but now I cannot even print 5 pages of Kingmaker in less than an hour. Paizo making an image free version would be awesome and speed things up but the ultimate issue lies with Adobe and HP. It makes me cry inside a little. Maybe an Adobe guru has a fix.

You would need to enchant your stomach to give it the wild property so it will still give you bonuses. Or better yet swallow a bag of holding, but I would suggest getting a ring of sustenance also as the BoH would probably screw with your digestion. When the bag gets full you can just puke it up and collect the phat loot.

On a serious note ... ( I have nothing )

And the game begins again...

I feel the need to jump on this, since I've been trying to hook up with you guys for more than a year now. Of course, I'll probably need to bow out of another game that just started . . .

I posted in that Virginia thread, btw, so give it a peak when you get a chance.

Woot! I responded to the other thread.

Tuesday night game is being swapped. Ender is dropping out of the GM corp for a while and I will start running a new one. It will be in Burke, VA and will have a player playing from Baltimore over maptools and ichat/skype which may suit you very well. I am in the middle of moving to Burke so the stat date will be mid September sometime TBD. Beer and chat sounds cool too.

So interested, working up a back story now. having played in this world before I would highly advise all those that are intrigued to jump in.

Sounds cool but weekends are bad for me, although at this point weekdays are pretty bad for me too. What's up billz? We seem to always meet on these posts.

Beyond the double doors is a small dark hall. Littered with mounds of debris and a year's worth of dead leaves, it is clear that a narrow path winds inside.

The party withdraws to the trapped room with the sphinx in pursuit. As the sphinx enter the room, Numair looses his burning hands 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7 damage to the sphinx.
The now burning lead sphinx attacks Haldo but misses.

thought you had, it appears that it was eaten by something with fangs though probably not a spider.

did you make a heal check before?

If it still doesn't work, he hands it off to Edward.

"Shink the bear can give me a boosht?" Dug asks Edward, gesturing towards the upper level.

The wand still doesn't work. The trapdoor above is about 20' up and the floor looks pretty flimsy if you could even get there.

'It's harder than I'm able for!' Makin retreats to the entrance to the tunnel, tumbling to avoid blows but draws an attack from the sphinx, a miss.
Remos becomes enraged and attacks sphinx #2 his sword glancing off harmlessly the dice really hate you on this encounter
Faysal senses Numair's lead and falls back as well, standing next to Numair, further away from the door.
"Move back into the last room, so that I can burn these wooden constructs!" Numair sends another force missile after one, then takes a move action back into the last room, in front of the NW statue.
Haldo's sword come slamming down in the first sphinx doing damage but not as much as it seems it should.
The first sphinx trades blows with Haldo 1d6 ⇒ 6 damage
The second lands a critical on Remos for his troubles 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7 damage
