“The sleepy, non-descript village of Kalamanda, located near the northern entrance to Mogron Pass, now finds itself wide awake as the leading lady on the world stage. The village's mayor, Anson Ridley, reported this week that a local survey team has uncovered a massive deposit of gold and precious gems within the village's sphere of influence. Furthermore, clues to artifacts of considerable magic potency have been discovered alongside the resource deposits.”

“Before the discovery, Kalamanda was only moderately known as a decent place to fish for trout and not much else. The village now finds itself as the destination point for adventurers and prospectors seeking fame and riches beyond their wildest dreams.”

“Mayor Ridley has acknowledged that Kalamanda itself is not properly equipped to extract and process the raw riches that lay under the village and its environs. Ridley said. "We are looking to work with partners who will respect Kalamanda's wishes to keep our interests first."

The League has also taken an interest in Kalamanda's recent good fortune. Council of Equity spokesman Rovis Samadon downplayed concern about the discovery by an organization other than the League. "The League works tirelessly and diligently to identify and maintain control over the items found all over the continent."

"With such a magically blessed world as Runeterra is, it is only logical to assume that many nexuses remain undiscovered."

Samadon continued: "The citizens of Kalamanda have done the right thing by not only publically announcing their discovery, but also contacting the League directly about it."

The League has since announced plans to send a research team of and other magicians to Kalamanda to inspect the nexuses for potential future management and use by the League.

You have all heard the news of the discovery in Kalamanda. No sooner do the rumors and news reach your ears, than you find you are summoned by a representative of the League. You each receive the following letter.

Greetings Fellow Seeker of Adventure!

I am Reira Kashuld. Venture Captain of the newest League of Legends lodge and the only such lodge in Kalamanda at this time. You have come to my attention as someone who possesses a certain amount of skills and interests. This makes you an excellent addition to a highly specialized team I’m putting together for a matter of grace import, not only to the League but to Valoran as a whole. Please report an hour before noon on the third Tuesday of March, to the League head quarters at Hiedmarch manor. You will be compensated for your visit, but that reward will pale in the light of the riches that await you should we come to an agreement on my proposition to you. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Via what ever method and means you all make your way to Kalamanda. It is the evening before your meeting and you all secure lodgings in The Griffins Arms. Partly because it is easy to spot as you enter and partly because it is the only Tavern you find that doesn't have a broken window or a drunk outside begging to get in.

From the outside it is a white building with Dark brown wooden slating as decoration. the front door is dark wood and larger than you expect for a tavern/inn. you cant hear any interior noise from the outside. It must be sufficiently sound proofed, you think. The windows are leaded and clean.

As you enter, it is quiet small on the inside, at least at the bar. On the left as you enter are a set of stairs leading upwards. the bar is behind the stairs and is very well lit. There are a few white tables dotted around and many stools at the bar and around the walls. There are lots of tall windows that let in plenty of light.

The bar maid is adorned with wavy black hair and deep brown eyes. Her voice is warm and welcoming, though it does take on a authoritative and sharp tone when she speaks to drunks or other staff members. You quickly get the idea she takes no messing and will treat you like family until you cross that line.

As each of you book rooms with the her she introduces herself as Eliana patience, "Call me Lia" and as you explain your reasons for being there or you ask where the Manor is. She tells you that you are not the only ones here to meet Reira, that others are expected to and/or have booked in. She is friendly and happy to give what help she can.

You have placed what you will in your room and have settled after your journey.

Ok go mingle meet, wonder round town, set fire to things etc. Have some fun roll playing before the meeting tomorrow. It is approximately 4pm when your free time starts.

Hi all, A place to tweak your characters before the game begins and then it can be used like a normal OC thread.

Welcome to the Discussion thread. Initially this will be used to finalize characters. Then it can be used like all OC threads.

Just in case the words 'league of legends' were not enough to excite you How about I throw in 'Gestalt' and 'any paizo book'.

Got your attention?

Cool, let me explain.

This will be a pathfinder game using the 'Shattered Star' AP. With some important details changed. First detail: It will be set in the League of Legends universe. Second detail: You would pick a LoL champion to either be, or be based heavily on.
________________________________________________________

Build that champion with pathfinder rules. Hence why gestalt as some champs can not be made with just one class and multi-classing nerfs to much for this idea. Weapons and armour will be pathfinder based. Names may be changed to match LoL but stats will not. That will all be done when in the game. For now use pathfinder names.

Ok important things to know. In this universe the league was not set up to stop war it acts essentially as the pathfinder society. The Golarion worlds will be replaced with LoL worlds. E.G. the Shattered Star AP book 1 is set largely in Magnimar, this will be changed for Demacia. Expect other similar changes. The lore and history will match LoL as best as possible.

____________________________________________________________

Some rules:

Before you even consider applying, Make sure you are interested in playing the Shattered Star AP and not just the novelty of playing a league of legends character in an rpg. I don't want players dropping out when the novelty wears off. As it isn't fair on other players or myself if this happens.

Also remember you will all be working as a team, as a group of adventures so if you build 'loners that never trust anyone' expect to be rejected. I do not mind some level of 'not easily trusting' etc. Do not feel you have to play a naive trusting idiot. Just be sensible and remember you need a reason to be adventuring with a group.

Ok harsh words done now for some build info,

1. Level 1

2. Gestalt

3. Using these numbers for stats (in any order you wish) Before mods:
10, 10, 12, 14, 14, 16.

4. Any official Paizo book, no third party, no conversions. (As there will be enough tweaking to make LoL fit after players have been chosen.)

5. max starting wealth and HP.

6. Traits from the shattered star AP only.

7. Based on, or directly being, ONE lol champion only. I.E. not 'I want to play a mix of champ A and champ B.

PS: NO VOID CREATURES. Sorry Cho-gath fans. (spoiler, they will appear, just not as playable characters)
_____________________________________________________________

Feel free to ask any questions you want and to discuss builds etc.

I also need a back story as well as basic builds. Even if you are directly playing one of the league champs.

I will be picking the players on March 19th.
I am looking for four players.

It is a fair time away so that gives plenty of time for us all to work out builds and ideas.

GM is UK based so is on GMT. Though I am happy to accept players from any time zone.

i have used a separate game thread for flashbacks to that the story wont be delayed.

Each of you have your own reason for being here from where you came. Some a journey of discovery some have been told to come here by your local religious or spiritual leader. (This is up to you what ever suits your character.) Either way by now you know you have to come to this town and meet with a person called, ‘Sandy Grave’ so here is where you guys meet:

It is a bright sunny day , the breeze is blowing from the north and its coolness was a welcome feeling after the heat of travel. You enter a Town via the central square. Around the square you can see a few buildings, to the left of where you enter it looks like the buildings are shops, there are signs and flags outside them. Ahead of you on the other side of the Square are two large buildings, one may be a dwelling or perhaps the Town Hall. Next to it the building has the distinctive look of a temple. You do not recognize it as a particular deity’s, but its white walls and beautifully detailed columns definitely give the impression of a temple. The remaining building seem to be dwelling’s of varying sizes and shapes.

With not a cloud in the sky the market looks busy. The town square is filled with wooden stalls with varying objects on them. From where you are you can see a meat vender, the smell of a roasting pig fills the air. You can also see a book seller and a few more different objects, bottles with various coloured liquids in, some jewellery. The noise of a hundred conversations and haggling customers drifts through the square and you get the feeling if this place was empty it may just echo every sound you made. Along with the smell of roast pig, you can smell water in the air, there would seem to be a body of water close.

As you make your way towards the Temple you weave through the crowd. You are greeted by a few smiles when ever you make eye contact. Though people in general pay you no mind.

The temple looks much bigger from where you are now, its columns almost look like they reach to the sky. You get an overwhelming feel of calm from it. And if you touched the walls you could almost swear you feel it vibrating ever so slightly.

As you reach the doors, a stressed looking man in purple robes approaches you.

"Hello, I am Arguis Somner, Sir graves is expecting you. Please come with me, some of you have already arrived, though they may be busy around town."

You enter through the main doors, to heavy doors larger than any you have seen. Though Argius seems to move them with ease. The large hall greats you with symbols on the wall from many different languages. (There will be at least one you can read). It says, ‘Welcome all who believe’.

He takes you through the hall and you are surprised to notice your footsteps do not echo. Despite the stone floor and large open space. You enter a door on the right of the hall and it appears to be a library. Large windows light up hundreds of books lining the walls. There are some seats in the room and a large table in the middle, strewn with some books.

"There are refreshments for you and your rooms are being prepared, forgive the rush and forgive me for I am needed in a few places. I shall be back momentarily to explain a few things. For now anyone you see dressed like me will help you as best they can, please make yourself comfortable, I will not be long." and with that the out of breath man leaves the room.

used for flashbacks

Looking for 1 or 2 players to replace players for this campaign.

Set on Golarion, 20point build, starting at level 1. max starting wealth for that character. Players can use any pathfinder book to build, NO 3RD PARTY, and standard races only.

(GM(me) is on GMT, but will accept players from any time zone. All I ask is one post a day minimum.)

Bit of background;

Magic doesn't exist everywhere. Only gods and the fallen have powers beyond mortals. That is of course, except for the fabled chosen ones.(this is where you come in, you would be building a chosen one)

Before time began the Gods squabbled over who would be in charge. After many years of conflict and the worlds almost coming to an end, a decree was made. All the realms where divided amongst the Gods, no one god could rule more than one realm and no realm was greater than the next.

It was rumored however that; whom ever controls the mortal realms in it's entirety, controls the afterword. Whom ever controls the afterword controls life, death and all the realms in between.

Prophecy stated the obvious (as prophecy so often does) When it was predicted that some day, someone will try to do just that. Will try to control the mortal realms and therefore attempt to control everything.

If this person where to succeed then the mortal world is doomed. It will be destroyed to prevent it from being taken. The gods would rather lose one realm than lose them all.

Do not lose hope. For the universe is all about balance. If someone comes along with the desire to rule it all then someone will come along with the desire to prevent that.

These are known as the chosen ones, Chosen to save the world. or so the prophet thought......

FEW notes, no magic weapons at level 1 so don't add them to your character. we already have a rogue, inquisitier and a bard.

build as normal, you can have full magic etc if you want but you dont have to play a magic character.

To apply i need crunch and a back story for your character, around one full paragraph minimum but go as deep as you want.

Through the noise of the crowd, your ears tune in to a single voice. A polite yet rushed voice,

”Excuse me, Excuse me…….EXCUSE ME!” With the final exasperated ‘excuse me’ the crowd parted and you see a short, robbed man rush towards you. His purple robes waving n the wind he created as he ran. He reached you and stoped to catch his breath, grabbing his knees for balance, he takes deep gulps of air.

”hello…you...are…here…he…said…you…would…be…here…today.”

Standing up after catching his breath he speaks once more.

if you are first he says:

Sir graves has sent me to meet you. He wont be happy, you where off by 8 minutes. So sorry I am late to meet you. Please follow me.

He turns to walk and stops part way, sighing at himself.

sorry again, I should introduce myself. My name is Arguis Somner, I work for Sir Graves. Your are expected. Please follow me, we are going to the temple.

If you are anything but first he says this, he says this

Hello, I am Arguis Somner, Sir graves is expecting you. Please come with me, some of you have already arrived. We will be going to the Temple.

You make your way to the temple. He takes you round the out side of the market rather than struggling through the middle. He takes you through the main street and turns right to head to the temple.

The temple looks much bigger from where you are now, its columns almost look like they reach to the sky. You get an overwhelming feel of calm from it. And if you touched the walls you could almost swear you feel it vibrating ever so slightly.

if you are first the room is empty other than yourself and Arguis, if you are next then those that came before you are in the room

Please wait here I shall return with Mr Graves, there are refreshments there, please help yourself. he points to the end of the table where you see a large jug and some fruit. And with that eh leaves the room via the other door.

Hi everyone. I can't wait to get this started and see where you guys take it.

Ok as it is the week before christmas I am not going to throw you in to the storyline straight away. I will start the main storyline after Christmas. most likely the 27th.

So first off we are going to role play you meeting each other and a short encounter in the Main town. As it is the run up to christmas, it may very well be loosely christmas themed. hehe.

So don't worry if you are too busy to post this week, but if you can please do, its going to be a lot of fun before christmas and I can get an idea of how you guys like to role play.

Right I will start on Monday, so tweak your characters etc and then we can get started tomorrow.

any questions ask away.
