As Gunnar said, we're in a fight with a bunch of Deep Ones and an umbral dragon possessed by the Black Flame. If Glenda has ANYTHING that protects against negative energy or negative levels, please use it on the group currently standing in front of the dragon. They're probably going to need it soon.

That depends on whether we got some rest before heading into this one. I usually have one death ward prepared.

The xag-ya and xeg-yi were energy creatures, one of positive energy, one negative. They're from an earlier edition of Dungeons & Dragons. They would mutually annihilate each other if they encountered each other.

Glenda is "adequate" in melee. Not nearly as strong as Snorri, Torvi, or Garnet. Should probably be channeling and casting spells.

The main hurdle to the communal protection from fire is that it's touch-range. I can only affect people who can get into touch range in the round that I cast it. Hence why Glenda told people to close ranks.

If you get affected by it, it will absorb all of the fire damage.

Glenda's a bit nonplussed at this unconventional form of locomotion, and it takes her a few tries to get used to simply climbing up the wall with magically sticky hands. Eventually she gets the hang of it, though she never seems quite comfortable with it.

I think Gunnar was guessing that Starship Troopers was the one you considered your favorite, since you said above that Stranger in a Strange Land was not.

Starship Troopers the book is military jingoism. The Verhoven movie is satire.

First :

How can we determine that a wizard is currently being casting in front of us ?
I mean ... There are some color or something ? (The rune circle like the PRPG's picture ?)

Second :

Now, when you try to identify a spell when it cast (Spellcraft check). We use the effective level or the level's slot ?

So a fireball (3rd) cast with still spell, count as 4st level for spellcraft check ?

Spellcraft DC for fireball cast with still spell is 18 or 19 ?

I mean : Somatic or Verbal components may be signatures for a specific spell.
If some of them is absent, or a spell is modified, this spell may be more difficult to identify, no ?
