Those blue squares are buildings and pillars. The height of each one should be visible.

The blown away size is large so unless you can become huge you have to deal with this. :)

In one corner we have a warrior who has evil running through his veins, and his opponent is the personification of fury. It seems that neither one can be killed, for no matter how much they are assaulted they find a way to prevail. However after today only one will survive, have a chance to move on to the finals.

As the screaming winds howled their fury around him Darius looked toward the funnel slowly forming in the sky. He had heard much about this opponent and was prepared to handle his raw fury. After having had his fill of spell casters he was more then ready to pit his strength against this brutes.

"Your soul shall be consumed as your corpse shall be by this vortex when I have finished with you."


Due to the difficulty of dealing with the wind I will retract the flying debris idea.
Don't forget your buffing round if you choose to activate any spells.

The iron bands fly through the air guided by the powerful magics despite the storm raging around them. However upon striking him they simply slide around him and fall uselessly to the ground, unable to restrain him. "It would seem that you lack any decorum...now stay your blade but a moment...there is something I would ask of you before we begin."

Swift action: Litany of Eloquence(No save) Duncan gains the fascinated condition for 1 round.
Standard action: Brow Gasher on Nodachi
Move Action: Detect Good on Duncan.

Darius smiled. "Oh it is a simple thing...you see I'm sure a strong and ruthless opponent such as yourself will advance...and there is someone I want you to kill for me."

The words started to just hum in Duncan's head, there was no need to rush things. He couldn't remember exactly what he was here to do but he was sure it would come back to him in a moment.

Darius words and voice were just so fascinating...what had he just said exactly? Whatever it was just reminded him of something important he'd heard once...if only he could remember...

Negative energy conducts down the blade as it slices deeply into the man who had been lulled into a fascinated state for over half a minute. "...now enough with the talking! Its time to spill blood!"

If Critical hit I need two fort saves, the first against Resounding Blow, the second vs Stunning Critical Feat. In addition Darius discharges Brow Gasher on hit, doing 8 Bleed damage and the cumulative penalties of the spell each round.


No save on the Litany of Sloth?

Uh oh...


(What was the will save for? And yeah no save from Litany of Sloth. You made both saves which means your only Staggered for 4 rounds from stunning critical feat. The Brow Gasher automatically happens, there is no save for you vs that spell as the spell is actually cast on my weapon. Also let me know if you can see through greater invisibility and I'll update the map.)


Ah, yeah, must have misread the Brow Gasher spell...looks like that's gonna be it, though.

(Could you kindly tell me what DR overcoming your weapon counts for? Also totally a hit, I'll give my damage taken shortly. Also important, how much of that damage is fire damage if any from the flaming?)


Have a +5 adamantine weapon. Did not calculate fire damage in there, forgot about activating that bit.

1d6 ⇒ 4 fire damage.


(You don't ignore my DR so I've taken a total of 58 damage so far this combat. The fire damage is negated by the potion drank earlier.)

Darius showed no signs from behind his emotionless demon helm as Duncan knelt to him. "Forswear all good, and pledge yourself to evil and darkness. Spread chaos and death in your wake and hear the cries of your enemies as they are crushed to bloody pulp beneath your feet. I shall end this pitiful tournament and then with the power I have gained from the prize I shall cast a shadow of death and carnage across this land the likes the world has never seen. Stand beside me and revel in it. Oppose me...and be slaughtered like the cattle." He blade was held poised straight in front of him with a readied action based on Duncan's response.

Darius let out a hollow laugh of pure evil as Duncan refused to submit and he stabbed his blade toward the reckless barbarian repeatedly accepting each blow as a final mark he would bear from the proud barbarian who would fall beneath his blade.
