Howdy folks!
As many of you may have heard, next Gen Con, in 2013, at August, we'll be launching a new adventure path set in the Worldwound.
This adventure path will...
- ...be one where you fight a lot of demons, and may or may not get to face off against a demon lord... or maybe even demon LORDS...
- ...be a great opportunity for players to play GOOD guys... especially good aligned clerics and paladins and the like...
- ...have strong themes of redemption...
- ...strongly utilize elements from the upcoming Mythic Adventures rulebook, and will give you a chance as players to play mythic characters and a chance as GMs to run mythic villains...
- ...and will have MUCH MUCH MORE!
What I'm NOT 100% happy with right now, though, is the Adventure Path's title—currently, we're calling it "The Demonblight Crusade." Not a terrible title, but I'd rather call it something else. I've got a few ideas bumping around in my head... but I figured we have a whole messageboard of brilliant, creative people... so why not use that as well!
So!
I'm looking for suggestions as to what to call this Adventure Path! Post your suggestions below! If something comes up that I like, I'll let folks know and lock the thread so things don't continue forever (we DO have to settle on a title sooner or later, after all!). But until then... suggest away!
For reference (and so folks don't propose Adventure Path titles that accidentally use constructions and elements from one of the specific adventures), here are the names of the six parts of the adventure path. These titles are solid—I'm not looking for new suggestions here, just for the name of the adventure path as a whole.
- PART ONE: The Worldwound Incursion
- PART TWO: Sword of Valor
- PART THREE: Demon's Heresy
- PART FOUR: The Midnight Isles
- PART FIVE: Herald of the Ivory Labyrinth
- PART SIX: City of Locusts

My first thought is Worldwound Legacy. To imply either what the Worldwound left after opening or to imply what the PC's will leave the world at the end of the AP. or both.
That's actually not a bad one... but it also repeats the word "Worldwound" from the first adventure. I'd really rather not repeat any words from the adventure titles.

Fiendscar Legacy? Or too derivative?

Ok well you could go for Aroden's Legacy, since the worldwound is a result of his death. Though that might make people think of something other than demons.

At The Abyss's Doorstep
(iconic D&D word "Abyss" - check, hits the demon vibe right away and communicates with anybody who's remotely into D&D - check, doesn't repeat adventure names - check, has an acronym that doesn't read "SS" - check)
alternatively, Beyond the Abyss's Doorstep (a hat tipped off to Chaosium and Beyond the Mountains of Madness).

The second name would be better for a sequel. Or accessory book. Or mythic module coming after the AP.

Are titles even copyrighted?
EDIT: Also, should not be the correct court placement based on the location of the defendant forcing Mr. Bochiński to sue Paizo in state of Washington?

Demons And Wizards!
"Fiddler On The Green" should be obligatory part of that AP soundtrack...

Titles are hard.
If it helps, I can probably tell you *why* you don't like 'The Demonblight Crusade' -- the stressed syllables in 'The DEmonblight CruSADE are too far apart, which makes it awkward to say aloud. You need to replace 'Crusade' with a word that has its stress on the first syllable. (Or lead with Crusade -- something like 'Crusade into Demonblight' though that doesn't quite scan right.)
If you go back and look at all your other AP titles, all the major words have first-syllable stress. That's not an accident.
Hopefully that's an insight that can help.
I'll also throw out Scars of the Demonblight as a possible title.

:)
Salt In The Wound
The Bleeding Earth
The Broken Earth
Charge of the Saviors
Entropy's Absolution
The Damned and the Defiant
The Break of Dawn (damn Twilight, let's take it back)
Purgatory's PLague
Perdition's Plague
Against The Abyss
A March Into Madness (eh, "March Madness" ruined this one)
A Charge Into Insanity
The Cry of Sarkoris
The Light and the Lost
Where Angels Dare

I don't feel any awkwardness while speaking it aloud. Maybe because English is not my native language and stresses are mostly abstraction to me.
More ideas for the AP name.
It Came From Abyss
At the Abyssal Threshold
Damnation's Doors/Threshold

All the AP's are named around the anti-hero or trouble-making elements of the story. Would it not be an interesting idea to name the AP not after the villain or menacing scenario which plays the central role in the story, but to name the AP 'from the other side'? Thus sort-off describing the valorous and glorious acts to push back the demons incursion.
I don't consider myself eloquent enough to create great names, but for this reason I actually really liked 'The Demonblight Crusade'!
