And what would a high power of RotRL look like?
I'm working on trying to rework it for a party of 4 gestalt characters to start at 11th level with 1 mythic tier (and probably end between 21st and 25th with maybe 5 tiers). If/when I get it ready I'm gonna run it as a PbP (so keep an eye out for the recruitment).

Are there any rules out for playing a campaign at levels higher than 20th? Like 3.5 had their Epic Progression rules?

Whatcha think of his background? Couldn't think of anything in-depth right now. Do you want a good description of the gloves? (I have a feeling that our special items are going to make a come-back in some way.)
Compact. Solid. Like a well placed punch. You can hold off on the glove description for now but you might be right.

Well, there are rules for it posted on d20pfsrd, but honestly I'm not sure where they came from... Basically, you just use multiclassing to keep progressing more or less normally. That's probably pretty much what I'd go with except that I'm also going to develop a handful of literally epic 5 level prestige classes that people could pick from starting at 21st if they qualify.
I don't want to take away from this thread though- there will be plenty more details in my recruiting thread if/when it eventually goes up.

I'm calling the Kinetecist class "benders" like in Avatar, yes. It's just so much easier to type.

edit: ninja'd... I'll leave it here though in case anyone finds it helpful...
I haven't actually played any of the occult classes but a kineticist/monk looks like the way to go for a bender...
Personally I'd go with the old school monk (instead of unchained) for the will save and to qualify for the 4 winds or master of many styles archetype (either of which would add bender-y goodness on the monk side too)

Ya. I wasn't going there in the beginning, but that may be where I end up.
also, that final answer.. not so much. Brawler makes me crazy MAD. Maybe too crazy to pull off on a 20 pt buy.

Alright added item of interest to the sheet. IF GM approves I hope to play Gavin more to the code on his sheet then to the Paladin code. He will be a faithful knight that was headed to crusade, but will not be so black and white evil and good as most. With enlightened paladin he can't even detect evil :)

Hey, have you seen this homebrew prestige class for paladins? It'd make a suitably epic stop-gap, I think.

I'm assuming Air and...Air! hat's your fall back element? (I might have missed it). Also can you point out where you invested your "extra" sp?

The code looks fine off the cuff. I will look it over more to be sure I don't see anything strange.

Hmm... Bugbear you say... Just out of curiosity, how exactly would that work?
They're CR2 creatures, with 3 racial HD... Would you count the racial HD as 1 side of the gestalt (so you'd start something/bugbear 2 and not gain a second class until 4th)? Or would you have to sacrifice 2 gestalt levels for the CR (so you started as just an extraordinary bugbear and begin gaining gestalt class levels at 3rd)? Or something else entirely?

YoricksRequiem |

I'd think it would probably be easier to just strip it down and then tweak it to be balanced it against the other races. Something like this?
BUGBEAR
+4 Str, -2 Int, -2 Wis, -2 Cha
Darkvision 60 ft
Scent
+1 Natural Armour
Stalker: +2 Intimidate, +2 Stealth
Obviously that's different from how the Bugbear as a monster is built, but in terms of balance, it should sit right around 10-12 RP. I'd probably be tempted to drop Scent and also get rid of the -2 Wis penalty, though.
I'm not the GM, though, so feel free to ignore me, haha.

Sir Gavin, The Lion |

ah the goblin cabal is going to vote me out. It's like a goblin mafia.
Bugbear 17RP by Race Builder
•Ability Score Racial Traits: Bugbear are agile and strong, but vicious and unpleasant. They gain +2 Dexterity, +2 Strength, -2 Charisma.
•Type: Bugbear are humanoids with the goblinoid subtype.
•Size: Bugbears are Medium.
•Base Speed:Bugbears have a base speed of 30 feet.
•Languages: Bugbears begin play speaking Common and Goblin. Bugbears with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: any human language, Orc, Giant, Undercommon, Aklo, Abyssal, Draconic. See the Linguistics skill page for more information about these languages
Darkvision (Ex) 60’
Scent (Ex): Bugbears gain the scent ability.
Natural Armor (Ex): +1 natural armor class
Sneaky(Ex): Bugbears gain a +4 racial bonus on Stealth checks.
Intimidating: (Ex): Bugbears gain +2 skill bonus to Intimidate.
Stalker (ex): Perception and Stealth are always class skills for Bugbears
If Gavin has no chance I would be happy to make a Bugbear of some sort.

Sir Gavin, The Lion |

I'm all about lots of posting and fast paced games, I mean a lot has to do with how often the GM post but I would be happy to support another active player in voting. I have I think 35ish dead campaigns. I hate to keep adding to that, but games die. Two of the twelve I'm in are in their third year so I tend to push the pace in games. Alright stepping down from my campaigning box of vote for me :)

nate lange RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32 |

As for the bugbear...it would probably be easiest to have them be X/bugbear and then gain the second class at 4...so a bugbear would end up being Bugbear/X2/X6 at 6th level. they might be a smidge powerful at level 2 but they won't have another class so I think its not too out of whack...
Their good save is Ref and their BAB/skill points/etc are all standard for humanoids, so it would be really easy to just take away 1 HD at second level... If you felt it necessary... Either way, at third they'd be pretty well balanced (probably) at bugbear//class 3 (and at 6th they'd actually be bugbear/class B 3//class A 6)

I defeated a troll once with cookies. It was a homebrew game where people of the village became heroes. I was the baker, we had an NPC starting level. I think I was an expert. I shouldn't say defeated as much as out maneuvered. He was like a gluttonous blob troll could only move like 10' a round. We fed him them led him off with a trail of my cakes and cookies to get whatever we was after that he was keeping us from, don't remember. :)

You obviously needed to cross some sort of bridge he was guarding.

Actually the race builder bugbear isn't looking too bad...anyone who wants to build a bugbear can use that.
I'm half tempted to just tell everyone to start making goblinoids, lol
Submissions have a few days yet. If folks want to rescind and resubmit to join the goblin bloc feel free but people should post the concepts they think will be enjoyable.

Wow this became...very unexpected. Are the goblinoid players going to operate as a voting cabal, shifting votes to one another? lol

Yeah kinda agree with that Sir Gavin. I'm feeling really pressured to make a goblin lest I not get in. Let's form our own voting block against the goblins!
I can't speak for the other crafty / sneaky goblins, but I don't want anyone to feel obligated to change their race. The fun thing about having a couple of monster races around is how they react to others - and that applies to "normal" races just as well as other monsters. I'll be voting for someone who has a compelling backstory that I think will be interesting to play with, regardless of what race they go with.
