GM Fuzzfoot |
There does seem to be a lot of interest! If GM V only wants to run one, I can probably pick up the other table.
I'm Hiding In Your Closet |
Hello, Anthorg.
First, you must...WEAR THE BANANA SUIT!!!
Uncle Fred |
Hiding? We lent out the banana suit to the other lodge. They haven't returned it.
Sorry.
Desmond Aesculus |
A middle-aged man that has seen better days wanders into the main hall of the Flaxseed Lodge. He carelessly tosses his pack and items onto an empty chair - knocking the chair over and spilling out a few random items.
"Watch over that will you?" he asks of nobody in particular. When he doesn't seem to get the response he was hoping for, the man looks around and shouts back down the hall to the entryway, "Sahrek! Quit yer lolly-gaggin' and get in hear and WATCH MY STUFF!" Though he shouts, the man's face betrays a faint smile.
Through the door comes a grey and white wolf - a large beast. The wolf lopes over to the man, circles around the pack with the stray items a few times, and then lays down - promptly falling asleep.
The man takes in the scene with a bemused look. "I like what Trotter's done with the place... Where is he anyway?" His eyes land on a porter, "Hey, go find someone around here that can give me some work. If any of the Flaxseeds are here, let 'em know Desmond Aesculus is back and lookin' for work."
Hey everyone - glancing through the last thousand posts, I see a lot of new faces from when I took my self-imposed exile from PbP a few months ago. I see a few new sign-up sheets linked to this thread, awesome! Anyway, it's good to be back.
Shinkeer Aswander |
A stoic man of mixed Tian and Kellid ancestry sits in quietly in the back of the Lodge, reading through a stack of Chronicles. Looking up at disturbance, his eyes widen and his face cracks into a wide smile.
Quickly rising, he strides across the room and embraces the newcomer. "Des! It is good to see again, my friend!"
Looking down, he pets the wolf's head and ruffles his ears. "And you too, Sahrek."
Good to see you, Des!
GM V |
I could run 2 tables but the second table probably wont get going for a couple of weeks. If you are cool waiting i can repost on here when my schedule clears up.
For those of you in table 1, Brother Max, Terros Deepdelve, Nuo Fukui, Ellie Doubledown, Yelek Hssar, Esmeralda Villisani, I will have a thread up for you to dot into sometime tomorrow!
Halbarad of Arbor |
"Deadmond... I know that name. Good to see you're still not dead. Well, not permanently at least."
Glad to have you back!
Orryn Quattlebaum |
Mister Desmond! I don't believe we've met, but I know your associate Linnea well!
Yay! Welcome back!
Shifty |
A shady looking fellow wanders into the bar, looks about, realises it is the wrong tavern, and moves down the street.
He throws a gold badge bearing a serpent motif on a table - the people in THAT room immediately understand.
Recruiting for...
Serpents Rise
Six Aspis Consortium agents on a bloody mission to strike a blow against the Pathfinder scourge!
*Running TWO tables, one for classic, one for core (because there seems to be demand for core). First come first served, pregens provided.

trying to get my special count up for that coveted fifth star!
Lissa Villasani |
Is there any place to look at the pre-gens? I'm thinking about it, but I'd want to know more about the character I'd be playing.
Mister Z - Or just Z. No names. |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |
"Listen here sweet cakes, we're these people you're lookin' for are like ghosts. They operate in the shadows. You look once maybe you see 'em, you look again--POOF--they're gone. All I know about 'em is that they're led by a terribly handsome half-human with skin the color of Granny Smith apples and muscles nearly as big as these--here take a feel." Mister Z was it? Offers you his flexed, rock-hard bicep.

"The slot open in the CORE game was filled by the second most raved about character too. I guess its a matter of taste though. Me, I like keeping my divine energies away from anything that looks like it came as the main course of an exotic seafood dinner. Not that I have anything against it. I don't judge. I'm more involved in the part after judgement is rendered."
EDIT
"Oh, well it looks like the band's back together."
_Experiment Three-Two-Two |
I would have played 322, but given I played her already in Classic, I thought a different one might be interesting for a change.
Do you have a link?
BartonOliver |
I'll go ahead and sign up for classic. I've never ran a pregen before so how exactly does it work as far as applying credit to a character of mine. Do I have to have one at level 7?
With pregen-only scenarios you have a couple of options (with general pregens there are also options though they are slightly different)
a) You can drop the credit onto a level 1 character which drops the gold to 500 and gives you access to the items, but you don't get access to any boons until your character hits the appropriate level (in this case 6)
b) Apply the sheet to a lower level character with full gold and get the XP, PP, GP, items and boons when your character hits 6.
c) Apply the credit to a character in the appropriate level range (in this case 6-8)
ckelley83 |
@Barton:
Thanks for the info I appreciate it. At what point do I make the decision of what character to apply to? Would I need to decide before the start of the scenario or when it's complete? What if that other character is currently in a game? Sorry for all the questions, just not something I've had to deal with personally so far
Pirate Rob |
b) Apply the sheet to a lower level character with full gold and get the XP, PP, GP, items and boons when your character hits 6.
I believe in this case you wouldn't get the rewards until lvl 7.
If you play a non-1st-level pregenerated character, you choose one of your characters to assign the chronicle to at the end of adventure, and then apply the credit to your character as soon as she reaches the level of the pregenerated character played.
GM Aerondor |
I'm pretty sure the chronicle says 6-8 so you can apply it to a 6th level character and not have to wait. This is a bit of a special case as they are not the normal pre-gens, and you don't get the option of a normal PFS character to play.
Miranda Renard |
A dark-haired woman, wearing a scarlet cloak with the gold crown of Taldor stitched on it, sweeps in with a flourish of said cloak.
"Agents!" she calls, hands at her mouth. "Looking for some fresh-faced but not TOO fresh-faced kippers for a jaunt through the good old days! Something about a tide being silenced, or somesuch! Report down at the docks!"
Recruiting for a classic run of the very first one: Silent Tide. I have two players already and would prefer to run it at the 4-5 tier, so I'll pick PCs that will allow it to fire at high tier. (You can still sign up with low tier if that's all you've got, but you may not get selected, and if you do, we'll still be playing at high tier, so be ready for that.) Sign up is here.

Sorry, yes Pirate Rob is correct b should read 7 not 6.

Added a couple options one at 3 one at 4 depending on what's needed.
GM Crucible |
Technically you choose the character ahead of time - [...]
On the contrary, technically you choose the character to assign the credit to at the end, after the adventure is concluded. The part of the RPG Guild Guide you quoted above says this, and it's repeated in a couple of places, including in the instructions for filling out Chronicles.
Many GMs collect this information early—which is a good idea from a logistical standpoint—but GMs should permit change (as you suggest) up to the actual decision point at the end of the adventure.
Desmond Aesculus |
Just signed up for Serpent's Rise. I'm glad there was a spot available that wasn't the leader. Haven't played a slayer before - looking forward to a good time.

Silent Tide is full and thread is posted. Players are: Hrothdane, Eben al'Jol, Wei Ji the Learner, Trex, GM V, AJ Torgerud.
