As you step into the room, a 10 ft by 10 ft cage falls from the ceiling hitting both of you for 8 damage. A skeleton lying limp in a harness in the cage jerks to life and rips its way out of the harness, waving a scimitar.

A section of the floor is hinged, causing Meilu to fall down into a pit, about 10 ft deep, with spikes at the bottom.

okay, the spikes miss but that's still 5 falling damage. Sorry, this is a really evil trap.

As soon as the pit opens, a giant purple spider rushes out of an alcove at the bottom of the pit, climbs up to the top, and webs the trap door shut again.

The walls and ceiling of this room are hidden behind a thick, gray-white forest of spider webs that blocks all vision beyond ten feet. Webs are everywhere, creating a maze of vertical sheets. Gray, furry dust clings to the sticky, white webs. The desiccated, shriveled corpse of a long-dead man hangs spread-eagled across one of these layers of webbing, and rusty swords, daggers, and axes hang securely from others.

You think you see the outline of a spider in the webbing, towards the back of the room. It doesn't appear to notice you.
