Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

Quick question: Is Blaze blocked at all from entering melee with the statue the trap hit?

Minor Crab-beast

Nope - you can enter melee unhindered

Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

Blaze once more calls upon his inner power to enchant Sunstrike then darts forward to strike at the statue Spending one Arcana point to add +1 to my weapon. 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

"Where's my flank!?" He yells at the other Wolves.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

"Stop whinin!"

Greataxe Attack
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage
1d12 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Precise strike + 1d6 ⇒ 6

Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

"Somebody just earned b+~~& duties for a week" The Keleshite says flashing Grusk a smile.

Minor Crab-beast

Gives self a kick-start, let's get this back and rolling...

Both Grusk and Darkbiter are able to land solid blows crumpling part of the spiked monstrosities' armor which appears to be hollow within it. Blaze's strike is on target, but clangs harmlessly off the beast's armor. It's gait begins to weaken and become stilted as the sum of strikes upon it begin to weigh heavily... but it fights on.

However of slight confusion is the fact that half the squad is holding back, while the others are pressing forward into melee combat with the lead foe.

The forward statue forsakes it's trident to rake at Grusk with it's claws...
Claw #1: 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 12 - 4 = 17 for 1d6 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 5 - 4 = 2
Claw #2: 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 12 - 4 = 15 for 1d6 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 5 - 4 = 5
...his lime-green breastplate gouged for it's trouble, but holding up to the onslaught.

The rear statue approaches more slowly, but sees an opportunity to act against Blaze, flinging it's net towards him...
Net: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 10 - 2 = 18 Ranged touch - entangled on successful hit
...catching the magus within it's twisted ropes and fouling his movements.

Action Tracker (Adjusted): Statues, Blaze, Kaavel, Grusk, Darkbiter, Doc, Sentis + Baran

Map up later.

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

With his flaming sphere's seemingly uneffective; Sentis figured none of his fire based spells would work against the metal monstrosities. He'd have to back up his teammates with his sword this time but he wanted some extra protection so he pulled the mask he'd gotten from the strange shaman so long ago and pulled it down over his face.

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

AC: 17/14(flat)/13(touch); CMD = 20; HP= 25/25

Seeing that the creatures have advanced as far as they were likely to, Dark drops his bow and moves forward to engage the second creature, drawing his sword as he does so while absorbing the free attacks on him in a bid to free up his ally's ability to move. As he moves, his face becomes bearlike and his muscles seem to grow a bit.

Greatsword 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
damage 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17
Shifter's Blessing(+4 Str, +20 ft movement): 5 rounds remaining

Updated Map

Darkbiter - are you provoking an AoO to get through?
Sentis - Will save please :)

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Will save - 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Minor Crab-beast

Sentis feels a momentary malevolent tightening around his mind and distant chanting in Polyglot... though the feeling fades as he reasserts control.

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

Yes. Dark can take the hit better than most of the group, and that will give the others a chance to maneuver a bit more.

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

Doc yanks a hammer and chisel from his tool belt and unclips a bandoleer with three reinforced pouches on it. Handing all three to Kaavel, Doc says "Wait 'til ah lay down cover an' then slip past 'em on th' left an' head fer the throne. Break th' chains while we keep 'em busy."

I can draw up to two sheathed objects as part of movement, and then use a move action to "drop my pack" (the bandoleer). Dropping things is usually a free action (as is picking up unattended objects, I think), so by that logic passing things from one person to another should be free. That means I should still have a standard action. Voice, what do you think?

Minor Crab-beast

AoO on Dark: 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 12 - 4 = 19 for 1d6 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 4 = 4

As he moves the lead statue marks his shoulder with a painful gouge, and he is lucky that the rear statue is too distracted to react as the half-orc slipped beneath it's reach. However Darkbiter's blade clangs off the being's armored skin without creasing it.
Threw you a bone by not taking the rear guy's AoO

Doc - as per RAW: Picking up an item is a move action that provokes, the free item draw as part of movement is limited to only weapons (and you can only draw two if you have two-weapon fighting). So by RAW, the act of retrieving two stored items would take two move actions, and could not be combined with movement.

However - if you want to unclip and hand off your bandolier - which just happened to have the hammer and chisel in it as well...
I'm fine with that just chewing up a move action for you, and a move action for Kaavel to complete the exchange - so yes, you could have a standard action left.

Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

What must I do to escape the net?

Minor Crab-beast

Blaze - look at the PRD entry for the net, it explains all you need to know.

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

Thanks Voice. I've mentioned that some of the action economy rules bug the crap out of me. I appreciate you willing to help me find ways of doing what I want as quickly as they should be able to be done.

Dropping a Smoke bomb at I14. That ought to blind both of them for a bit.

Doc nods to Kaavel. "Go" and lobs an explosive between the two giants.

touch attack on the ground :): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

Yea, can't get out of the net. Odd that you can't cut ur way out...

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Blaze, you can get out with a DC 20 Escape artist as a full round action. Net

Okay so would have Kaavel follow the wall until he got past the circle on the map. How far would he be able to get this turn? Figured their might be some stuff hindering movement.

Minor Crab-beast

You can plough straight through the center of the smoke cloud and move your full 40ft - just give me an Acrobatics check to make sure you don't trip on anything while you do so.

Male Half-Elf Martial Artist /4

Kaavel takes the gear from Doc before heading towards the throne.

Move to F-10.

Acrobatics:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
And I am tripping.

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

You know, I'm actually not surprised. I've noticed that the dice roller loves us one fight and screws us the next. We were due for a screwing.

Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

Blaze struggles to get out of the net, but fails just short.1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 Escape Artist

Sonofa, I need to roll an 18 to get out

Minor Crab-beast

Intuitively I don't see why the Dex penalty for entangled should affect your ability to extricate yourself specifically from the net... so I'm going to say that Blaze's attempt succeeded.

Blaze just manages to shrug himself free from the net as Grusk's axe clangs clumsily off the side of one of the creatures.

Kaavel takes Doc's bandolier and sets off at a sprint... but trips on a rock to land prostrate near the edge of the first smoke bomb. Doc then flings another grenado that spews forth an acrid cloud of sight clouding smoke.

The lead statue lashes out at Grusk once more...
Claw 1: 1d10 ⇒ 8 miss chance 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 12 - 4 = 26 for 1d6 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 4 = 4
Claw 2: 1d10 ⇒ 3 miss chance 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 12 - 4 = 13 for 1d6 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 5 - 4 = 6
...sharp nails dragging painfully across Grusk's neck.

While the rear statue shortens his grip on his trident and drives it at Darkbiter...
Trident: 1d10 ⇒ 8 miss chance 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19 for 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 1) + 7 = 10
...scoring a solid blow that luckily Darkbiter is able to twist away from the worst of.

Action Tracker (Adjusted): Statues, Blaze, Kaavel, Grusk, Darkbiter, Doc, Sentis + Baran

Note - both of the statue creatures are now swathed in smoke, so 20% miss chance applies if you're adjacent... and 50% miss chance if more than 5ft away.
Low numbers are the misses - so if you roll 1d10, you miss on 1 or 2.

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

On the other hand, they should have the same penalties, since they're in it, right?

Minor Crab-beast

Yep - hence the extra d10 in the attack line for the miss chance :)

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

Ah. I just skimmed the numbers since they weren't aimed at me and read your synopsis.

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

AC: 17/14(flat)/13(touch); CMD = 20; HP= 11/25

Dark strikes once more at his challenger, worried at the lack of a success on the hit, but fighting on, hoping that the party gets the luck they need soon.

damage 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16
Shifter's Blessing(+4 Str, +20 ft movement: 4 rounds remaining

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Momentarily startled by the short mental intrusion; Sentis snapped back to the present before drawing his scimitar while moving to fill any gaps in the line. He lashed out with his magical blade at the metal statue.

Attack - 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Possible miss chance - 1d10 ⇒ 3

Damage - 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

Is the smoke thick enough to prevent me from seeing Kaavel faceplant?

Yep - unless Kaavel gave verbal indication of his predicament

Darkbiter and Sentis feel a growing sense of dread as their attacks clang ineffectually off the statue's armor once more, but Grusk finally meets with some success. Wedging his axe into the beasts knee it half buckles beneath the onslaught.

Doc grumbles "Right. Nothin' left t' do but git mah hands dirty."

Drawing a flask, he bites the cork off and chugs. A moment later he is rippling and growing and hefting his massive two-handed maul.

Who missed BigDoc?

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

Who's your DocDaddy?

Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

Taking his cue from Doc, Blaze decides to enhance his next attack as well. Full Attack Action to use Spell Combat defensively to cast True Strike taking a -2 to my attack roll and adding +2 to my Concentration check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20. 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (16) + 27 = 43 True Strike Attack. Spending one Arcana point for Perfect Strike dealing 11 damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 2 Precise Strike, 13 total damage.

Minor Crab-beast

Blaze's strike is sufficient to finally bring down the first of your foes. A keening wail sounds as the creature implodes upon it's armor, most of the metal corroding as it crumples. Soon all that it left is a pile of dented and twisted rust - though the trident remains in usable condition.

Kaavel stands and is able to cross the remaining distance to where Thronebound sits with head bowed. As you draw near he senses you and turns his head to face you.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the smoke, Doc's form swells and he soon towers above you... idly chewing on a cigar stub that must be a solid two inches in diameter.

All other targets shrouded in mist, the sole remaining statue focuses on the nearest target...
Trident (Dark): 1d10 ⇒ 3 miss chance 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24 for 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 3) + 7 = 15
...tines of the weapon tearing through Dark's chest as he feels his lungs flooded with blood.

Action Tracker (Adjusted): Statue, Blaze, Kaavel, Grusk, Darkbiter, Doc, Sentis + Baran

Updated Map

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

The druid was very pleased that at least one of the statues was down. Sentis didnt want to inadvertantly run into one of brothers so he took the long way around the smoke.

Total movement hoping to end up around I-9

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

I'm at -4. It's so nice to be so utterly useless in the fight. Have I ever mentioned that I despise this dice roller?

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

Doc watches Darkbiter fall and growls. "Dammit!"

Reaching out a long arm he snags Dark's ankle and drags him out of harm's way, yanking a potion free with the other hand.

Standard action, add Biter to my inventory. Move action, draw cure elixer.

Male Half-Elf Martial Artist /4

Kaavel nearing the throne pulls out the chisel and hammer Doc gave him and starts to pound at the chains.

Sunder
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

No idea the damage.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

Grusk grabs up the trident and hurries towards the continuing battle.

Not sure if I can see or get there this round.....

Minor Crab-beast

A metallic ring of the chisel striking through steel sounds in the chamber and Kaavel sees the chain around Thronebound's left arm is severed. The dessicated cyclops moves more animatedly and flexes his arm. Relieved of the energy that sustained it, the limb responds to commands for but moments before it begins to decay and crumble to dust. The cyclops smiles.

Doc moves forward to where Darkbiter fell and pulls him away from the remaining foe.
Doc doesn't have a reach of 20ft - so you'll need to move up to grab him. So technically vial wasn't drawn this round.
Darkbiter's breath is even, so although he is wounded he will survive the day.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Sorry Sentis...
Sentis sets off at a jog through the smoke, but misjudges the dip in the room and ends up sprawling onto the ground.

Are you tumbling at half speed or full speed?
If at half-speed then no, if at full speed then yes.
