Rufus Griller |
"I have managed to find a few places where he isn't. And that there's a great bantha that can take me to my destination. Wherever that may be," he says as he gives the crazed preacher a wave as he's pulled away. "If all is lost, that's always an option, I suppose. A crazy option, but I've done crazier."

Gotal - Cantina
You overhear others calling the man at the table Puggles. He is a short, fury, with pointed ears, sharp teeth, and a long tail alien. You find out that he is hiring bounty hunters to join up with Kast to head into the waste and track down Talon. They are paying 10 credits a day with 100 credit bonus to whoever finds him. So it seems they have no found him yet and are looking to get more bounties on their team to find him.
The Force |
Kagore and Rufus - Streets
As you make your way through the city and heading back to space port your passing near the Cantina and you hear a pained scream up ahead. There, in the shadowy alley next to the cantina, you see three figures beating a fourth person. One of the figures steps into the light and you recognize the distinctive armor of a bounty hunter. He pulls his blaster and addresses the beaten person. "You’re gonna tell us what we want, or you’re gonna end up real dead!"
Gotal of Umbara |
Gotal - Cantina
"I am handy with a blaster and I have good eyes, observational powers are everything. Still, you are right, I am not a bounty hunter by trade. I am a man down on his luck who needs credits though, desperate beings make the best agents don't you agree?
So, who is that your employer is looking for?"
The Force |
Gotal - Cantina
Puggles grins. "The Hunting party slots are all full but could always use more ears and eyes on the street. If you provide useful information for the location of Adar Tallon you will get paid 50 credits. No need to get your hands dirty just information. he shows you a picture of the man which you already know looks like.
Gotal of Umbara |
Gotal - Cantina
Gotal considers it, "Well, not as good as 100 credits but I suppose beggars cannot be choosers, where is he rumored to be right now? I don't want to come back with a lead you've already heard, that's just a waste of my time... and yours".
Kagore |
Kagore gives a silent nod to Rufus as they take up position behind the two bounty hunters not directly in front of the man on the ground. Using deadly precision he thrusts a fist into the base of the man's neck where regardless of armor he might be wearing would be vulnerable to a powerful unexpected blow.
Martial Art: Silent Strike(Difficult): 6d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 3, 6, 5) = 24
To hit Brawling: 6d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 2, 4, 3) = 17
Silent Strike Damage: 7d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 1, 5, 6, 3) = 26

Kagor & Rufus - Street Alley
FYI, i'll add the extra +1's to damage for exceptional successes so don't worry about that part of damage rolling based on TN to hit.
Kagore strikes one of the Bounty Hunters right on the back of the head taking him out clean as he falls to the ground motionless.
Rufus you can go before init. Both of you can roll init as well.
Rufus Griller |
Only having the most rudimentary hand-to-hand combat training in Imperial basic, Rufus opts to draw his blaster. He thumbs it to stun before blasting the other bounty hunter.
Blaster: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 2) = 11
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4, 6) = 14
init: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) = 9
"Hello," he says to the man being accosted. "We'll be your rescuers today."
Kagore |
Init: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 2) = 10
"Three bounty hunters beating up a man in Mos Eisley? What is the world coming to Ru." Kagore turns his attention of the lead hunter who drew his blaster on the beaten man. He gets a hard squint look in his eyes as he stares the man down. "You have 3 seconds to put that blaster away before I take it from you and end your career. Get the hell outta here." Kagore puts on his best hard case look as he attempts to intimidate the man, readying himself to dodge and attack if the hunter starts moving the blaster toward him.
Rufus Griller |
"Three bounty hunters beating up a man in Mos Eisley? What is the world coming to Ru."
Rufus shakes his head as he trains his blaster on the hunters. "I know. This keeps up, Mos Eisley will lose its reputation as a family getaway."
Crimson Sun |
Kagor & Rufus - Street Alley
Rufus blaster shot plugs a nice hole in the back of the 2nd bounty hunter and he falls to the ground!
init bh: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 6) = 11
The last one seems to react a bit faster than you after you get the ambush on them and immediately takes off running as fast as he can.
You can give chase or just stay here and try to assist the downed alien. Chase will be simple we roll Dex each round and each round he wins he gets further away (short/medium/long) once past long he is out of sight and can't be caught. Rufus you can also take a shot at him if you wish :)
The Force |
Kagor & Rufus - Street Alley
Rufus blast drops the fleeing Bounty Hunter and he hits the ground with a thump!
No one appears to be rushing into the alley as you consult the alien.
Now that you get a good luck at the person you saved he is diabolical face, razor sharp teeth, and two horns jutting from his bald head.
He nods to you and starts to stand up. "I am Labria — hiccup! — and if you need information, I am — burp! — the person to deal with."
Rufus Griller |
Alien Species: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 5) + 1 = 7 No idea that this guy is probably a Devaronian.
Rufus smiles and takes the other arm of the alien, but he keeps his blaster out of its holster. No one is coming at the moment, but he feels better having it out nonetheless.
Gotal of Umbara |
Gotal - Cantina
Gotal grunts, "Huh, so a needle in a haystack then. I hear this is a backwards place outside of the city too. If I were him I would lay down tracks that I was here and then skip offworld. People would be gathering here and wasting their time while I'm several systems away. Alright, I'll see what I can find and get back to you".
Gotal stands and heads out of the Cantina. He turns on his comm, "Rufus, Kagore. Any luck??
Rufus Griller |
Rufus thumbs on his comm, hearing Gotal. "Hard to say. We may have a lead. I'll let you know if we need to meet you someplace."
Then he responds to the strange alien. "That sounds great. Maybe we can meet with your employer. Who would be--?" he fishes.
Kagore |
Kagore rests a strong hand on the drunk man's shoulder to steady him as he looks him in the eye to confirm his sincerity or if this is some sort of drunken conceived trap for mooks.
"Will you be alright? Its dangerous on the streets right now and more hunters might come looking for you. Perhaps we should come with you to protect you?"
Kagore |
"We'll be there."
After they part ways he comms Gotal and meets back up at the ship. After explaining everything Kagore starts discussing plans.
"We should keep Gotal back when we meet him, watching around us for ambushes of other hunters. Plus this alien only knows the two of us so if there is any information to be had here we could always use an ace in the hole."
Gotal of Umbara |
Gotal nods in agreement with Kagore's idea.
"I met with a Puggles in a cantina. He is putting together teams of bounty hunters and sending them someplace in the sands, definitely not in this awful city, as he so eloquently stated.
Is it worth feeding him intel that the man went off planet to try and peel some of our competition off?
For sure they have yet to find him... I hope."
The Force |
You consult your plans and the first twilight of day two comes to Tatooine. You head to the Spaceport Motel (Rufus is familiar with this place) and you see Labria outside where he said he would be. He waves you over and leads you to the outskirts of town to Tower Ridge. He drives a beat-up speeder bike, weaving drunkenly ahead of your group as you follow.
Kagore |
Kagore nods to Rufus as he begins to follow Labria on foot. He knows that Gotal won't be far behind though depending on where this man leads them he may find it tricky to follow. Still this was the best lead they had and if they were going to have a hope of finding there man before the bounty hunters they needed good intel.
He found himself both highly alert to his surroundings as they traveled and reminiscing back to his days following the clone wars, when he had abandoned the fledgling empire and what it stood for to try to make a new life for himself. He'd ended up on a backwater planet like this one and witnessed what sort of crime ran rampant in the dark corners of the galaxy. Slavery had been one he couldn't ignore. Before he relived the specific memories that set him on the path to joining the rebellion he shook himself back to focus on the present. He had a job to do and he was here to help make sure his current comrades didn't get themselves into trouble in this hive of scum and villainy.
"Where are we going Labria?"
The Force |
"Were going to meet Slag Flats *hickup*"
He pauses for a moment.
"Slag Flats is an Ithorian-in-exile *burp*. She has carved a place for herself in the underworld, but not a large enough place to upset Jabba the Hutt."
This man seems to always be drunk.
"She can tell you where to find *hic!* this Tallon. She holds audience *burp!* in the silo."
######
Gotal you do not notice anyone following nor anyone seems to be paying attention to your allies up ahead.
Gotal of Umbara |
Gotal will remain behind and unseen as best he can. If they enter a location he will find an inconspicuous place to watch the entrance from. Occasionally moving so as to not seem as if he is watching. Most importantly, he will keep an eye out to make sure that no one is trying to enter the location where his allies have gone.
